It’s all Bolton though if they win I think they’ll beat posh

"Players lose you games, not tactics"
tactics, shape etc are very important and play a massive part not many managers set up exactly the same every game

I like Warne as a person I've mentioned this many times but I still want to see a change at end of season
We need to be seeking out a young coach with bright ideas , we should as a club be looking constantly because long term Warne isn't the answer
Hearing how Alonso has transformed Leverkusen with his ideas and passion with players who are not big names is amazing considering he'd only ever managed a youth side and a B side in Spain yet Leverkusen saw something in Alonso, all good coaches and managers start somewhere why not at DCFC ?
There are also plenty of failures I know that but with our CAT1 academy wouldn't it be great foresight to try and get a young coach in with bright ideas who's going to embrace the academy and have a long term project playing some decent football
Nothing against Warne but if we go up I'd like someone who will spend what funds we have prudently and build something sustainable here using the academy as well

Warne himself has said changes will be needed if we don't go up - we'll have failed with the current setup so changes needed to make improvements.
He was obviously talking about the playing staff at the time, but it would be a logical question for Clowes to consider in regards to the manager and coaching staff.
Would it be more cost effective to sack Warne and his coaching staff (2 years left on their contracts), or give Warne a slightly bigger budget?
I can see an argument to give Warne more time - a full season with 2 CMs like Adams would make a huge difference. So too would signing a top CF and Brown coming into the side. We would only need a couple more players to complete a top 2 worthy L1 squad.
Good points but I think we'll be lucky to keep Adams if we are in L1
Personally I'd rather we tried a different coach who's going to use our younger players more ...if ready of course the squad needs major overhaul to me and not sure i want Warne to be conducting that

Why would any footballer want to control the ball with the goal only a couple of feet away and empty? CBT just fluffed a great opportunity, I fear that miss will hang heavy on the player 😉
he didn't need a touch he literally just needed to steer the ball in with one touch even with your less favoured foot I'd expect that to hit the open goal which is was really
it was a very easy opportunity and i thought a good ball from Washington, no excuses about taking a touch it was a poor execution like he took his eye off of the ball

why try and disguise the fact it wasn't good enough last night even Warne didn't seem happy
It was not great and nothing to learn from pretending it was anything different , the problem is its not a stand alone performance we missed 2 good chances but Wycombe could've scored 2 themselves , one where Wildsmith made a good save and the other more fortuitous chance that fell to there player in our area and he shot over but I didn't think wycombe were that bad they look like they're trying to change there style of play to me and thought they had a couple of decent players
Zero shots on target is never good no matter what and this is a worry ..... Orient have looked like a good footballing side whenever I've watched them but we must win all 3 now and believe we can hope he keeps faith with Smith but another CM to make 3 i think will help, hope Bradley isn't brought back in tbh ...if Gayle could get himself fit I think he would be a very big boost for us

1Wildsmith 6 made an important save in second half and was brave with the calamitous back pass in last min
2Wilson 5 flattered to deceive a bit last night
35Nelson 6 had a tough game against a strong forward
6Cashin 6.5 had a reasonably good game
17Sibley 5 needs to look after the ball more some of his passing was aimless
11Méndez-Laing 6 poor game for his standards
12Smith 7 some good passing and think was one of our better players
16Thompson 6 looked lively when came on but didn't have much time to get more thn a 6
32Adams 7 solid dependable and covered at the back also puts his head where some wouldn't
27Blackett-Taylor 5 poor display and should have scored
4Hourihane 5 no real impact on game Smith was doing well
14Washington 6.5 works hard and set up CBT but should've done better with his chance
7Barkhuizen 5 no real impact and didn't get into the game
9Collins 6 worked tirelessly but had little impact up front where we need him
10Waghorn 5.5 not enough time really to impact the game but won a good header from NML cross

FWIW I thought Wycombe actually tried to play and were not as industrial as we've seen them under Ainsworth, played some neat football at times and could've won.
That miss from CBT was really quite poor, we now move on to the O's who whenever I've seen them this season have played some nice football so won't be easy, we need PP rocking on Saturday I still think 3 wins will get us over the line

What makes me laugh sometimes is that …yes the players get pelters for not playing well but at what stage do we think the manager might also be to blame because Warne is not blameless it’s his players team and formations I just want to see the end of this season and want to see better football with more direction

Typical Warne play. Hoofball and avoidance of playing through midfield ruled our play this evening . Not enough of our players in the opposition penalty area. and crosses from wide going to nobody.
This is correct …there were times when we got forward and I saw 1 maybe 2 players in the box …with 4/5 Wycombe players …why aren’t our players busting to get into the box….if we don’t go up please let’s get someone else in ffs because we are embarrassing at times …that total c*** up at the back with Wildsmith just about summed us up …
Adam’s was the only player for me tonight who I thought really put his body on the line …Smith and Cash were also good enough tonight but the rest were awful including CBT
-
What makes me really want to bang my head against a wall in frustration is that I really hate Wycombe and hearing there tin pit fans sing about us cheating then we can’t even muster a shot on target in a rather important game ….it was s****
if we don’t go up this season I fear for us a bit …
-
No excuses that was poor
-
I get that some are hoping that Wycombe are tired from there Wembley day out but I hope they’re not …I want to beat Wycombe at there very best and that’s exactly how we should set out …some seem worried as I was a few days ago if im honest but if we are genuine promotion stuff we go there and win we do not want it being in Boltons hands …win tonight and I think two more wins will do it as Bolton will drop points …but maybe very different if we were to give them the advantage of it being in there own hands with only 4 games left ….so…be strong show character and go and beat Wycombe …they’re not great at all …Adams, Nelson,Cash,Collo will be pivotal tonight
-
There’s only one man for me ….
with fans desperately looking at there watches and the pressure mounting and we are camped in Carlisles half at 1-1 w have finally got level after a shock lead for Simmo’s lads …the board has gone up for 7 mins of additional time and with that …PP roars its approval in a desperate hope to galvanise the team ….but we are resorting to crossing the ball into the box and to some it seems aimless and hopeful then with 2 mins left to play another hopeful cross is headed weakly out of there penalty box into the crowded melee of players who are camped in Carlisle’s half and Hourihane on as a sub collects it and everyone thinks he’s going to shoot from distance …we need a goal afterall …time is running out …instead he shapes to shoot but slides it sideways to Fozzy who’s first touch is a tad heavy but with his momentum he cuts inside a Carlisle player and he’s now just inside the box…………………………………………….
whoosh!! Fozzy unleashes a left foot low pile driver …and the net bulges with the Carlisle keeper just watching …there is a slight second of delay before the PP faithful realise it’s the goal that will take us back to the championship….ans the stadium erupts from every corner of the ground it feels like an earthquake ….Fozzy runs off being chased by the entire team including Wildsmith and Fozzy un ashamedly takes off his shirt and wheels it above his head before being finally caught and mobbed by the whole team ……it hasn’t been pretty football but we’ve done it and Fozzy,s final moment in a rams shirt is set in history …….like the legend he is to us ….oh yes!!!!!! let them beers flow!!!!!! COYR

Nervous about this game because Wycombe are the kind of side to stifle us but I just want us to play with purpose and go for it because us at our best are too good for them at there best , same side , go at them and get the job done in the first half, then just play sensibly in the second half but don't sit back, they would absolutely love to see us bottle it against them so hopefully we don't....3 points here would be massive at this stage of the season

YES CBT did try and put a bit of a defensive shift in as well. Very impressive, last night!
He was slightly better but still not good enough defensively
On one occasion Korey Smith had to berate CBT as he stood and watched as Smith got played around and didn't go with his man, much better performance from CBT Dave but defensively has to do better still

We defended well second half but but it was a lot to ask our defensive players to hold out for 45
we could’ve asked more questions second half and @Caerphilly Ram is right …Collo looked out in his feet and maybe a Washington a bit earlier might’ve meant the second goal doesn’t happen as Collo was easily turned
I agree a point before game was a good point but as I said before game pompy are nothing special and second half we sat off too much we should really have beaten them twice this season imo
-
Adams nicks the ball for our opener and is such an important player for us and mention to CBT who was a threat all game and obviously Ward was great two great strikes
