Premier ram reacted to RIMBAUD in Teden Mengi - signed on loan until the end of the season
And coming towards his prime years. He’s not perfect but we are a division two team. I like him. And this season he’s showing that he can play a bit too.

Premier ram reacted to LeedsCityRam in Pride: The Inside Story of Derby County
Just finished it. Its not just a very good book about Derby County, its a bloody good football book full stop. If you haven't bought it, you're missing out.
@HuddersRam that is a seriously impressive writing debut. The 25 years absolutely come to life with the extensive cast of characters recalling the events at the time but that's really well interwoven with wider narrative of the circumstances of the club & footballing world at the time. A very well paced book too with lots of detail on the move to PP, a lot of focus on 2002-2006 and the outstanding job that George Burley did (something that I feel gets often overlooked compared to McClaren in 13/14) and not excessive space given to the last 2/3 seasons.
Extra kudos to Adam Pearson & Peter Gadsby for contributing to the book - Gadsby's recollections in particular really valuable in fleshing out the greed & subsequent removal of the Three Amigos & the madness of Billy Davies.
Obviously we all think our club is special or unique but there is something peculiarly self-destructive about Derby that marks us out as a bit of a special case. The constant turmoil, lack of continuity & financial mismanagement is a recurring theme - its telling that the quietest period is also the biggest improvement as Nigel Clough rebuilt the squad to have a serious tilt at promotion. Entirely typical of us to squander it 2.5 years after he left. The closing part of the book touches on this recurring theme - does it make us the club we are or is it the millstone round our neck? Not sure.
Like Cameron Jerome rightly said....'Don't you think Derby's a weird club?'

Long way to go in the season yet.
It'll be a big effort.
But I have faith that if they try their best forest have the potential to make a serious effort at getting into the bottom three. Perhaps the owner needs to be more hands on properly making them rubbish.

Premier ram reacted to CBRammette in Kaide Gordon - signed for Liverpool
I think a few posters should just have a look at their comments about a young 16 year old boy. I have a 16 year old and know how I would feel to read some of the posts on here. However fed up you are about our situation at the moment dont direct it at a young lad. Its embarrassing. If you go Kaide then best of luck and hopefully see you back again one day unless the posts about this everywhere poison your view of our fans. And if your sale lets a couple of others come in who can save us from the abyss thank you.

Gordon is the next Harvey Elliott. Very similar skill sets, age, etc. Time will tell for both of them whether the path they have taken will be the right one.

Is this your maternal Grandma, or paternal Grandma?
If it's the latter, then I have news for you... she does... and she is!

Famara Diedhiou out of contract in the summer, 28, certainly fits the type of player we should be looking at imo.
Reportedly available for £2m, i reckon he could be available for less + addons

Instead of going round and round in circles and arguing every point can we not for once wish Kaide the best of luck in his career , hopefully in a few years time we are able to say we nurtured that boy at the start of his journey to be coming a top class player

I hate hoping for a Boro win but that is the cold hard fact of the matter. Rotherham lose tonight then again to us and we’ll be putting a bit of daylight between us. Happy days.

You’re only above us because the ref incorrectly called our winning goal against you as offside.
Sigh.

Premier ram reacted to JohnHarkes in Kaide Gordon - signed for Liverpool
I doubt he's ready for the physicality of the Championship at such a young age, it doesn't matter how talented he is, it's a tough league for anyone so young.
It would be great to see him move to Liverpool and become the player he has the potential to be knowing our academy shaped him. It's testament to our academy that we're receiving seven figure sums for teenagers who haven't even started a first team game yet.
As much as I'd love to see him become the best player in the country at Derby, that just isn't ever going to happen unless we were also up there with the likes of Liverpool. Who could begrudge the kid a move like that anyway?

Er. Didn’t they beat Forest 30 years ago? And Man City 9 or 10 years earlier?
