We can't even get along as football fans of the same bloomin club!
What chance have we got?
Fortunately I was brought up on singing songs and chants that supported the club I love and then singing songs that disrespected the club we were trying to beat.
And I know football forums are all about fans being entitled to their own opininions, but just look at how far the goal posts have been moved within the game.
The biggest thing I loved about going to the Baseball Ground was the crowd, the wonderful atmosphere of getting behind Derby County Football Club and tearing into the Leeds, Chelsea fans and all the rest...................why did it go all horribly wrong???????
Why do some of our fans choose to get off on, winding our own fans up..........why oh why????????
I'm out of here, I'd rather watch dull Sunday night telly than read our own fans bickering with one another.
Where is your dignity, respect, appreciation, honour, loyalty for your fellow fan of the same football club you all love?

Is it just me but wouldn’t folks want us to be signing players with ambition to do better on the football pitch rather than someone who hasn’t played lately

In all seriousness, I'd agree. 
It was an art in itself to steer clear of trouble from oppo and police! Colours always hidden until inside the ground.  Different world to today... thankfully!
Witnessed (and was on the periphery) of all sorts of scrapes and scuffles, particularly as I went to many (virtually all) away games from 77 to 81.
Being on "independent transport", as opposed to official club coaches, undoubtedly didn't help.  There was always a pub stop or two on our travels too.
Don't get me wrong, I was gobby (in a sing song sort of way) but certainly no fighter.    Probably done the equivalent of a fair few marathons over that period.  Always chased, and never the chaser, mind!  ?
If truth be told, I probably did well to stay out of the cells for so long!  ...And hospitals, for that matter!  ?

You can't explain to people nowadays how that walk was from the ground to the station (rail in my case). It really was another world.

None of us know and if we did would be bound by client confidentiality anyway. We also dont know about Mel's health which may be another factor in how/why the sale is going ahead and being handled or structured in a certain way. I wish Mel all the best personally.  The uncertainty on the club is frustrating and worrying for us all but unless one of us has a few million lying around that would help there is little we can do

it’s gonna be a wake up call for some players probably having to take contracts well below expectation. 
Hated watching some of these over paid prima-donnas these last few years. The days of the likes of Hindmarch, Buckley, Sage, Williams etc. when they we’re putting themselves on the line and literally fighting for the club (in the goalmouth v Stoke). It seemed to mean more.

Just as a bit of a counter to a couple of your points, other than one disastrous season, our net spend on transfers has been negligible.
What exactly do you want the fans protest to be about? Do you want MM to stop spending money? Stick with a manager (despite a large proportion of the fanbase appear to not want to)? I'm as unhappy as the next man with how things are going but I am unsure what anyone wants to achieve from all of these proposed protests and nobody has yet been able to answer that question. 
'He could put our club into administration', what is this based on exactly and what makes you think he would want to do that? He personally has a lot more to lose than gain from doing that.
