Excellent. What he has done in the 26 games this season is remarkable. It’s churchillian. With everything going on to galvanise the team as he has it’s unbelievable. If he keeps us up then shearer’s right, he deserves the keys to the city. We should also build a statue in his honour. His leadership in the most difficult moment in this clubs history has been outstanding.

I hope it doesn’t all end now, both with club being kicked out the league and Wayne going to Everton but if this is the end of Derby County as we know it, or the end of Wayne Rooney or both, I will cherish this season forever.

A train of thoughts is Gibson might settle for 10 Million but even that seems too high with the other debts .
You could have 10 bidders but none of them will proceed until Boro/Wycombe sorted .
MSD I doubt will loan anymore so the only option is player sales to provide cash to pay wages of players and staff and general club costs.
It looks like the EFL want us down this season before compromise can be reached
    Very sad indeed

    Fair points well made.
Let's hope it all ends well and before long, Mike Ashley is seen returning to his seat late after half time after clearing Greg's out of Steak beaks and sausage rolls.

2021 hasn't been easy for a lot of people, even tougher for us Derby County fans that have had to endure and will continue to do so the sleepless nights with the unthinkable, the threat of our club facing possible liquidation.
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, without you, this community would not be here, the community that has allowed fans from not just around the country, but the world to come together and help each other through these difficult times and I'm sure will continue to do so through next year and beyond.
For any players, management, staff, anyone connected to the club that may also be reading this, Happy New Year to you also, I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure many others will agree, you are all making us so proud to be a Ram, we cannot ask anymore from you.
    Let's all go and smash 2022 ?

That midfield 3, bird, knight and thompson is as good as anything in this league
the biggest thing the next 3-4 weeks is to get poo sorted out so we can keep them

Really enjoyed that as a battling win, thought we were in trouble early on as there seemed to be a physical mismatch of sorts. However we dug in and ground out the win. Impressed with all who made it on the pitch today, in particular the back line and Allsop. Loved it late in the game when Cashin went crashing through Clarke in a 50/50. Also thought Bird was going to waltz through and seal it only for it not quite to bounce in his favour. The togetherness and commitment this season is something else. ?

Have we got a new scapegoat for our plight??? It’s all the EFL’s fault, it’s all Gibsons fault. It appears it may soon be Ed Dawes fault. At what stage does the penny drop that we are reaping what we have sown. I for one actually feel relief at today’s announcement. We are now free for a new owner to come in with a bid, knowing we will be a league 1 club with all our skeletons out of the closet. One step back now but 2 steps forward over the coming years I believe. And just to let the young uns know. The last time we were in division 3 was great. We stormed it with a massive support home and away. It’s not all doom and gloom

Yay, I’m going to this!! After a brain haemorrhage and then lockdown I thought I’d never get to PP again. However, I’ve recovered really well over the summer, especially worked hard to improve physically and my partner is letting my son take me to the match - he’s much more worried than I am!
So, Rams, I’d appreciate a good performance and a win - though whatever happens I’ll feel like a winner just getting there.

First bit of hope we've had today for a while. I thought we'd gone, but feel like we could pull through now.
Hope everyone can keep their jobs.
If we can survive, feels like we'll all survive together. And be stronger for it.

The coyness on the stadium tells it all IMO (and lack of follow through from Ed to determine how it is brought back into DCFC hands), quite obtuse statement regarding his ownership of stadium, only a reference that across the overall sum of his tenure, even despite retention of the stadium, that he will still lose out. So what does that mean? It basically reads to me  that he has gambled, lost, and taken the stadium as a form of collateral to reduce his loss. If he was as benevolent as he claims he is he'd gift the stadium back to the club and truly walk away with nothing, he obviously has no intention of doing that. So his recklessness to get out of this division was effectively mortgaged against our home which Lionel Pickering ultimately gifted the city and club. I don't care about a lot of things but to lose our stadium in this is unforgivable, the stadium should be an asset with the club in this admin package, the fact it isn't is a real, real shame.

Those slamming Mel should pause for a moment to think about his intentions.
I do not - for a minute - think he's intended to run the club down.
He has spent millions, not to run the club into debt, but to chase the dream. We all supported that chase.
Even though he's managed things badly, which he admits, I do believe that he genuinely thinks the only way he can get new owners in is to put the club into administration.
I'm very far from happy about that, actually been crying about it, but I think it's sincere on his part.

always liked Wayne as a player. he is a true england legend.
seeing him play in a Derby shirt is something ill tell my grandchildren about, like my dad tells me about seeing dave mackay. roy mac, todd etc
wayne doesnt need to be here. hes earnt enough money to sit on his arse in his mansion for 100 lifetimes. hes here because he wants to be here
in times of crisis u need people to step upto the plate and that’s exactly wot hes doing. hes one of the few positives about this club at the moment, along with the fans

Love to see that some of you can still come out with the predictable snarky "but what you do expect to happen? We can't possibly have any effect on the club with our actions"
If you believe that, don't go tomorrow. If you don't think you can have any impact, why the hell are you taking up space in the stadium? Go to make an impact. Make your voice heard. Express your displeasure.
For God's sakes, you deserve to scream and make the roof come off Pride Park. You deserve to lose your rag and shout at the top of your lungs. Why the hell else do you go to the stadium if not to release your passion, in both good times and bad?
I won't keep my gob shut. Neither should you. This is an outrage, where is your anger?
