Yeah. I agree there were bigger names for us that aren’t on there. But the fact that Rooney is a massive name in world football, and he both played for and manages us means it makes sense to have him as the current face of the team.

Whether you think he's a Derby legend or not (he's not)... he's definitely a legend of the game and probably the biggest name to play for us, certainly in recent history.
He's England's all time leading scorer and most capped outfield player. And he played for us, and is now our manager. Deserves some recognition i think.

Bit harsh, you're assuming everyone is comfortable sitting in a football ground. I'm sure there are thousands who are not.

I think Sibley will be a good player... but when you see him next to Watson you can see why the latter seems to get more minutes/trust from Rooney.

I wouldn’t be doing anything daft like loaning Sibley out. But I don’t think the best thing is to just give him 90 mins and trust him… he’d be sent off 2/3 times a season

While he couldn't finish to save his own kind, at least he got into exciting positions! We've really gone backwards in the past few years.
I really believe Lampard just compounded the problem, take away his covering the cracks loans, we were a very poor side!

If I was manager of a top European side playing a system with wing backs I'd be trying to get Bogle in as a prospect.

Was very lightweight when here, if he hasn't strengthened considerably physically, he will fail to impress i reckon.  Would much rather see Brown and Dixon fighting for a spot.

We are 2.5 weeks away, yes. But this is still something we should take our time over.
We have got recruitment very wrong in the past. How is that going to change if we hand out contracts with little to no vision beyond ‘get some bodies in’?
I get it - the fans want signings, the coaching staff want signings. But surely with the restrictions in place, it shows a need to operate more carefully and make informed choices.
Personally I don’t think it makes sense to rush deals over the line. There’s no point in getting bodies in for the sake of it when we are likely to regret it 3-4 weeks down the line.
 

How is it a blind panic? They've all been training with the squad. More than most transfers ever do before they've signed.

Just because we can doesn’t mean we should.
Of course, we are in a difficult situation and the first league game is 2.5 weeks away but losing our heads and signing the first five players we take on trial simply because they are in the building is hardly going to resolve anything.
