Soft touch? Away to Fleetwood we had something like 27 shots and 9 on target. If that was soft what were we yesterday?
We didn’t win though did we? Not sure what’s happened in the last month or so I fancied us against anyone now we could get beaten by literally anyone.

We usually agree. I would be sympathetic to this argument if we weren't going backward and badly. I've never been convinced about warne and this stretch of form is confirming my worst suspicions. It's a hack job going bad at a bigger club that he can't micromanage. I really fear where this is heading tbh and under rosenior a completely untested manager we were in the hunt for the playoffs with a better account vs the top half
Come on we were a soft touch under Rosenior away from home and it didn’t look like that was going to change.

Hope Bird does start as we have really missed him but only if he’s 100% as we can’t afford to lose him again.

What about offsides, though? There have been some shocking ones let go this season.
I'm not talking about the big toe or little ginger scenarios, but those where there's clear daylight!
Daylight ? Some have been yards off the standard of all the officials is shocking.

Yep. Whites a good player but he doesn’t have Birds defensive qualities.
The number of times today they had a player sat between their midfield and attack who was picking up the ball in acres of space.
I don’t think White is a patch on Bird he looked lightweight and lost at times yesterday and we lost the midfield battle it was to easy for Barnsley.

Missing Bird massively in these away games. I don't know whether we're going into these away games planning to play kick and rush or if we're being forced into it by the other team but it's incredibly frustrating to watch, especially when you consider how good we are on the ball in our home games.
The concerning thing for me is that the highest placed team we've beaten away from home is Port Vale who are 16th, so while our away form has improved under Warne it's only been a marginal improvement. I think you can safely write off the Plymouth, Peterborough and Wednesday away games but hopefully our home form will hopefully carry us through to the playoffs.
Totally agree we are missing Bird especially away from home.

Interesting to know, there are people who don’t use the internet or trust using the internet for purchases and there are plenty who hate paying extra fees!
I tried online then heard they hold back some tickets and luckily it was my day off so headed straight to PP

If I might make a suggestion on why there maybe greyed out areas - possibly the club are holding a certain amount back for the people who want to go and only purchase tickets at the ticket office which is fair enough in my mind - that may not be correct but it makes sense.
That is the case that’s how I got my Barnsley tickets after they were sold out online.

Wasn’t a vintage performance by Col tonight but he’s 1 league one striker vs 3 much higher level centre backs. All their fans are raving about that big fella at LCB, ogbonna has been at that level for a few years now and I can’t remember their third CB…
Yes their LCB looked good I thought

Just had the displeasure of listening to Charlie Palmer in the car on the way back. Managed a word per minute of roughly 4.
It’s painful to listen to him.

I really hope we don't revert back to a 2 man midfield once Collins is fit again, we looked so much better today with the 3. Hourihane in particular looked like a totally different player and seemed to really benefit from the extra runner. Can't think of many teams in the division that would be able to stand up against that midfield trio.
100% that’s the best midfield 3 in this division so don’t change it. I also thought with no Collins up top we had to play it to feet more today and let’s hope they continue with that as most teams can’t live with us when we do. ??

Who would expect knight to be playing upfront no one.
Especially Knight as he’s not and never will be a striker

Three assists in the last six, definately really poor.
So you think he’s playing well?

How hourihane keeps his place I’ll never know
I wouldn’t be happy if I was Knight as Hourihane has been poor for weeks now.

But Warne has actually said in his interview today that "generally speaking, they played how I want them to play". This is how he wants us to play.
This is how he wants us play.
He wants us to play like this for the next four years.
So anyone who was happy with Warne replacing Rosenior must surely be happy now that we're, generally speaking, playing exactly how Warne wants us to play, rather than how Rosenior wanted us to play. I however was not happy with the management change, and I am not happy that, generally speaking, we are going to be struggling to draw at places like Burton for the next four years.
We are 7th and the manager hasn’t signed a player yet so let’s all just calm down and give him a chance and if we are playing like that in 12 months time he will be under scrutiny.

I didn't see anyone post the comparison between LR and PW after 12 games each (which happened after the MK Dons match), but apologies if I missed it (for PW I'm being generous and including penalty shoot-out defeats as draws):
LR: P12, W7, D2, L3, F15, A11.
PW: P12, W4, D5, L3, F18, A13.
A comparison of 9 league games will be possible after the Portsmouth game tonight. But has PW been an improvement on LR over his first 12 games?? Not for me so far.
We are creating a lot more chances under Warne for sure especially away from home.

I must admit I wasn't sure what to think when we signed Wildsmith in the summer but I must say he's looking like a very good signing for us. I was behind the goal in MK yesterday and saw two very good saves close up, particularly the one from Bradley Johnson which looked a certain goal. He was incredible at Liverpool too, so I feel it's about time he got a song. Here's my suggestion:
?Wild thing, you make the Derby sing
You save everyyyything
Wildsmith, I think I love you!?
Thoughts guys?
Cheers Chris, aka LincolnshireRam
Really like him he’s a good keeper a excellent shot stopper and still young for a keeper.

I think our small squad and lack of options is really hurting us we are crying out for a striker with pace.
