Oh, yes, totally agree, but you said Shinnie should never start ahead of Bird. Last night Rooney got it spot on.
Horses for courses, as they say!
Yes I agree it worked last night and when I said never I meant as a footballer I would never pick Shinnie over Bird so it’s a good job I’m not picking the team. ??

Bird was not the man for the job that needed doing last night, Shinnie was.
I agree because we got a point but going forward this season Bird gives us more control in the middle than Shinnie as he just gives the ball away to easily.

I thought his punching was outstanding to be fair. Those corners in the first half were wicked, right on top of him, being crowded by their players as well, there were three corners where if he hadn’t punched at all they would’ve gone in direct from the corner, he did well just get something on them.
Im not a Roos fan but last night wasn’t just his best performance for the Rams, it was IMO the best performance from a Rams goalkeeper that possibly I’ve ever seen in 30 years, or since the great Mr Poom - difference with Poom is that he delivered every week, we are talking one game here but credit where credit is due, he was outstanding
Best in 30 years? Come on he made some good saves but every cross he either flaps or refuses to come and collect. He played well last night but he still scares the hell out of me when the opposition get crosses in but we have 2 experienced players in Davies and Jags who are winning everything in the air at the moment.

Bit surprised to see the ratings for Derby players last night.
Fine to give the keeper and defence good marrks but we created nothing, our passing was awful and we didn't win so eights and nines rather generous.
We have to use the ball much more effectively on Saturday or we will get taken apart and we won't keep the ball with Sibley and Baldock up front.
I'm not CKR's biggest fan but we're crying out for his return just for some sort of physical presence.
And Dylan Williams did us proud last night. I'd love to see him again on Saturday.
Totally agree on CKR without him the ball just keeps coming back and Shinnie the effort is there but his passing and control is pretty poor he should never start in front of Bird.

Watching the highlights on Sky, wow, their clear cut chances were really clear cut. It'll take us five games to create the same clear cut chances they had.
However, then you need luck and we got it.
I thought Davies was a monster tonight.
Davies was immense last night what a Pro he is.

There's a chap at Peterborough, Marriott I think his name is. Plays just like Oh Bobby Bobby.
He played like Bobby for about 5 games in 3 years.

Another of the names touted as "knowing the championship" that were favoured by a proportion of our fan base.
Fair point and I was one of them.

You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire. Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes!
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and "whilst it is in flight" you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes!
BUT, you must always remember that until the purse has "actually been thrown", it would be plain wrong for you to be in front of the other shopper and you would be OFFSIDE!That’s proper Partridge ?

I think the EFL need to recruit some staff as I guess there are a number of clubs such as Stoke that will be trying to be creative with Covid debt. Just think next season could start off with half of the Championship on -12 points
The only problem is they only seem interested in Derby’s accounts at the moment unless Gibson picks up the phone and mentions Stoke etc.

If we can’t sign anyone then we must keep Waggy Wisdom and Davies
3 big earners so no chance.

Great pro he really cares I just wish he was 5 years younger,I would give him a player coach role but it would be on much reduced terms. ???

Or Cyrus Christie. I just used Nick Pickering because I remember him being particularly poor for us. That said, I have a vague memory of him actually scoring twice in one match for us. I may be completely wrong though; it was a long time ago
I can’t remember Nick Pickering scoring 1 goal for us never mind 2 in the same game ? he was pretty awful. ?

Tell me, How many crosses didn't he collect? where you belive he should have done, Baring in mind there has to be a cross he can collect, Not the suicidal come and miss, Or the over crowded penalty area where a bump into a player could cause confusion.
I think he commands his area alot more than he did, Barnsley with their high balls into the box shows that he does, There's being critical of a player and then there's being critical because some have it in for him.
Me, He's shown this last year how far he improved, Maybe alot to do with Shay Given.
The West Stand jibe...is where Roos anti fan club sit...Not all BTW.
He could have come and punched or collected 3 or 4 long throws at Cardiff for a start and I’ve not got it in for anyone in a Derby shirt I want them all to play well but for me Roos is simply not good enough at collecting crosses and I’ve no idea why as he has the height and physique.

Compared with Marshall who hasn't claimed a cross all season? ?
Wow do you really think Roos is our No1? I know who I would sooner have and our defenders. Marshall has not been error free I know but he’s a solid keeper at this level.

Did you post this from the West Stand...Love a duck, Another that doesn't understand football.
Doesn’t understand football ? So you think he commands his area then? And I don’t sit in the West stand thanks.

There's a very good keeper in there somewhere, Consistancy is the key, For him to reach the potential Roos needs games, I've heavily crtisised him especially the Wembley game, The Fulham game away in midweek was his downfall a couple of seasons back.
But this past 2 years he's been able to improve greatly on his commanding of his 18 yard area, Crosses were his downfall, Now it would appear he's coming to terms on when to catch or know whether to punch.
Marshall also has a mistake in him, But then so have all keepers, I'd stick with Roos for now and see, A full house at PP tho could be his undoing ?♀️
Improve greatly on commanding his area? When did this happen? Certainly not Cardiff away a few weeks ago he literally didn’t claim any cross all game.

But I don't want to see him on the wing I want to see us play through midfield with some attacking intent. It says more about the way we are set up than anything, no place for an attacking midfielder in our team!
And as for him not showing it in training, I am sure the current players aren't being coached to be so negative on the pitch but they keep doing it and aren't being dropped.
Personally I would like us to take the hand brake off and start playing to win. This solid defensive approach is hardly working lately and you can just see the confidence draining out of all the players, not just Louie.
Spot on non of our midfield 3 are playing well at the moment and at least with Sibley playing we will have a midfielder who’s 1st instinct is to be direct and run at players not take the safe option.

I think he is growing in his role as manager and as a person. He’s got my full respect and more importantly of the dressing room they are giving everything for him. ???
