TimRam got a reaction from Ted McMinn Football Genius in England WC Qualifiers
Grealish makes the play more interesting and is usually sucessful with what he does. Not sure why he was subbed though. The play totally changed for the worse afterwards.

Feel a bit sorry for Grealish there, far more effective than others yet pulled.

The atmosphere of those games was second to none and as been mentioned, crowd standing was part of that.

Been watching every night on ITV 4 at 5.55pm. A real trip down memory lane. The unfashionable kits, long hair, no numbers on the shirts and back passes to the keeper who picked up the ball. The excitement of the FA Cup, almost as important as the League Championship. Stadiums rocking with fans standing up. All interesting stuff. Anyway, the point of the post, linked to this, is players you didn't realise played for other clubs. It must have passed me by that Stan Bowles played for Florist, Terry Yorath for Spurs and our own Archie Gemmill played for Brum. Any other players that you have come across where you didn't realise they played for that team?????

Would the 77 year old former rock guitarist from the sixties rock group Yardbirds have enough money to buy us?
Oh... hang on... let me fetch my glasses...

He definitely deserves it.
He's managing to win games (and not lose against better sides) with a team of mismatched veterans and youngsters, while the club is essentially on fire behind the scenes, and he's somehow managing to do this while also getting us playing a more attractive style of football than last season.
More than we could ask for, and certainly more than could have been expected based on last season.

Maybe their tanks could be used to squirt petrol at passing cars. Just ensure car petrol cap is open first so no need to queue.

That's the reason CL has become dull. Same teams and pointless matches.

I agree, @angieram. I've been doing a lot of work on our family tree over the last year and it has really brought it home to me how lucky I am compared with my 1800's ancestors for whom life and death was so difficult without pensions, welfare benefits and NHS care. So many of them died well before their time of conditions that are treatable today. In the respect of health care we are living at the very best possible time.

A Quiet Place - Part 2
At least as good as the first one & also good that it told the story of what happened when the aliens first arrived.
The son was annoying but then he was in the first one, so they're consistent at least. Emily Blunt great again and Cillian Murphy is really well cast as the neighboring farmer tasked with helping them survive, with just enough ambiguity about his history & motivations.
