So if i’m reading it right - and if the players agree terms - we have the option of 5 from 8: Davies, Wisdom, Stearman, Jagielka, Mengi, Morrison, Aluko, Baldock.

interesting choice - probably 3 of the 5 centre backs and 2 of the other three ?

(Ryan Allsop presumed now out of the picture ?)

To be fair on Charlotte Ram, its extremely difficult to get into the US without having an existing US visa. Getting a US visa (e.g. H1B, B1, L1 etc.) was made difficult by Trump, who then suspended the visa programs for sometime. This created a big backlog so even when Biden came in and released the brakes, it still takes a long time to get one. This is on top of the COVID restrictions which mean that even if you have a visa you still can't enter if you've been in certain countries 14 days prior (this incl. UK, EU etc.).
That being said, Mel may already have a US visa or green card (I wouldn't be surprised if he did) so the only real blocker to him getting into the US would be travelling from a banned country. Even then, a quick two week stop over in Mexico or the Caribbean would mean he could get in.

I wouldn’t take the punishment out of principle, but then I can understand why the club would just to settle it and be allowed to move on.
Whilst you have the likes of Gibson and Wycombe threatening to take legal action, the EFL will continue to appeal to show they have done everything in their power.
My concern now is there is genuine tension between the club and the EFL, this might calm once Mel has completed the sale of the club, just fear that we will be scrutinised for any minor infraction now and on their radar.
With the club statements made, we have embarrassed them, shown the EFL up as the incompetent organisation it is, and that will have ruffled some big feathers.
Some would argue, we should have kept quiet, rolled over, but let’s not forget how this tension really all started, way back when Mel was the one actively fighting for better TV deals to benefit the entire Football League gaining support along the way.
I agree with @Dan_Ram, as fans of this club we should be doing our bit to change the narrative to the real issue here which should be a huge story.
Unfortunately though, the vocal fans we do have are using their voices to continue with their anger towards the club from top to bottom.
We have no chance of this happening and I find that kinda sad in all honesty, doesn’t feel like we have any togetherness at all right now. Some will argue that’s Mel’s fault for the way he’s run the club, but that’s missing the point here which Dan has made in this thread.
When you see other clubs like Leeds for example, blatantly cheating with spying on training sessions they were out in force over Derby forums and social media defending their club.
Us? We even had fans saying so what, they spied on our training sessions preparing to play them and that’s the difference.
Keogh, rather than look at what he did to this club, we have fans out there going through employment laws section 2b on page 456 that says we did wrong.
Forget the fact that the club captain refused a taxi home and stayed out with young lads, one of which had been drinking to get over the loss of his mum, get in a car with them.
No no, 2b in the employment law, page 456 ffs says we should have sacked them all, wanting us to write off one of our most valuable assets that could still perform for the club and actually needed an arm round him, some support as the young man tries to get over the loss of his mum.
I really dislike Leeds, REALLY dislike Leeds but I can’t help but respect the togetherness through right or wrong, that is there club and nobody shall attack it.
I’m sure you could link this to the atmosphere between the 2 grounds as well, feels like we’re waiting to boo rather than get behind the team.
As a disclaimer to this I do feel there are times when you cannot support, a player that has been racist for example, found guilty, but in fairness I don’t think he’s been that popular since with them.

For us to not be playing Championship football next season, one of two routes have to be taken.
The EFL appeal against their successful appeal. A new DC then determine the punishment to be inappropriate and hand out a harsher one. Given it's the timescales to get to this point, it seems unlikely that will happen in just 6 weeks. The club submits 3 sets of accounts, the EFL review them, then charge us again (if it turns out we've exceeded the 3 year limit), we go to the DC, then we appeal, then we appeal the appeal... not going to happen. Especially as we have until the 18th of August (10 days into the season) to submit those accounts On to the restated P&S accounts:
    KM (10/05) - £12.5m over the limit
KM (04/06) - "within the limits"
Me - £1.7m under the limit
Mr Popodopolous - £2.5m over the limit
Take your pick on the most likely answer.

So we’re allowed a 39m pound loss in the 3 seasons for which we need to re-submit the accounts
We’re allowed to include the 80m sale figure of the stadium from the third year in the three year accounts
And yet the league statement clearly suggests that they expect we’ll be in breach.
Am I being ridiculously optimistic that I expect the club to come out with a ‘we’re not in breach’ statement in the morning.

We are only allowed to include £40m from the sale of the stadium as it was in the books having a value of £40m already,
I do not think we will be in breach the club has had 2 years to plan for this outcome and I anticipate that they have a plan already in place, to ensure no further action,  if I was any of the other clubs I would be furious at the legal bills the EFL are running up pursuing the Rams and if I was Mel I would appeal and call Nick de Marco

Think you’ve read what you want to read there…
We have to redo our accounts and if they are over P&S limits then looks like we will be going down.
The EFL’s statement adding in that Wycombe and our fixtures are interchangeable is a big hint at that.

Problem with comparing it to other services like ESPN is you’re paying for a random mix of games, where as you’re paying for RamsTV which is dedicated to Derby games.
That said it’s poor from the EFL to dictate the pricing clubs can charge for their streaming platforms as they are doing.
Why can’t Derby charge what they like, be it a tenner or £50?
They don’t control ticket prices, so why put a price on what clubs can charge for streaming just because they feel they can offer a better service than ifollow, makes no sense.
But then little the EFL do make sense.
Glad the club have made it clear this 100% increase is on the EFL.
£25 isn’t “bad” value though IF there isn’t any restrictions on games that can be streamed, and isn’t just an increase for EFL being the EFL sake.

Just one boring clarification point - the international Rams TV viewers don't just miss out on the Sky games - they also miss out on the 3pm 'top pick', which is produced for international use as well as the Sky games.
i'll still be paying the 25 pounds a month - but it's a daft situation that every game could be picked for tv in the UK or for other international distribution....and you'd end up paying for no actual live championship games.
As well as the piracy worries, the EFL are clearly concerned about the difficulties in selling the matches outside the UK and the resultant drop in income - it's not really 'must have' for any pay operator (even though the championship is packaged with league cup games in any sale), and the club streaming is a good excuse for the international broadcasters to try to pay less.
in the US, to make sure you don't miss a Rams game - you need ESPN+ and Rams TV for the whole season - but I still think it's remarkable that everything is now on offer live as well as the U-23s. Makes living in California almost bearable.

You don't need to buy Ethereum to buy tokens. The cleverness of the Ethereum blockchain is that it was designed for all this kind of stuff to be built on top of it. It's brilliant to see @loweman2's examples of fan tokens from 40 years ago, and it's a brilliant development that these can now be done through blockchains and decentralized technologies.
You're right that if you lose a hard wallet you have lost your tokens. As cryptos become more commonplace, people are coming to realize the importance of secure wallets and remembering the details (eg the tale of hundreds of millions of pounds worth of Bitcoin in a council dump). I've given various people crypto wallets and designed the security in such a way it won't be forgotten. But if I told you what that was, I'd have to kill you! :D
