  1. Honestly next season will be much more testing as a brand new squad of misfits put together with no money, with a new manager... I'll be happy to have a team that stays up and being able to just follow the football.

Fans going on sky thinking we'll be back in the prem have just got very overexcited.

  2. I think what frustrates me about this whole debacle is that some fans and clubs really can't seem to separate us, the fans from how badly the club has been run.

When they ask for Derby to be punished more it is only us, the fans, that will be punished. Basically all the players have left and the owner at the time has gone. When they ask for more punishment like the runts on otib, they literally mean they just want us as a fanbase to suffer. And we 'deserve' it because of some memes and the fact we supported our team when we were nearly promoted.

It's really soured my view of other fans. A lot. And mostly boro, Wycombe, Bristol and Leeds fans.

Why do people keep saying this?

DCFC do not owe MM a single penny.

My mistake, thought he was a creditor through loans who was essentially waiving his right to what he was owed, as without it he'd make no money from the stadium.

  4. Quantuma, just sell the club to someone who can complete the transaction. Negotiate with Ashley or whoever who can complete within a few days.

What concerns me most about CK is the underlying reasons why the AML checks can't be completed within a few days. Surely his lawyers would understand from experiece that this is a potential roadblock and do the needful to get the info.

It’s not external oversight as such.

What they’re saying is that the want to know who bids what over the next few days so they can decide whether they pull the plug or not.

If someone bids enough to satisfy the current deals with the creditors they’ll let it play out.

If nobody bids enough to satisfy the current deals then they take away the league membership.

We’re in the end game, we’ll know in the next few days whether we can go on or whether it’s start again in non league.

I don't think the EFL would pull the plug. Even if football creditors aren't paid back in full. The other clubs wouldn't get see a penny.

  6. I think the EFL have been spooked by the rumours/speculation going around that Quantuma are not talking to Ashley, or being unresponsive to other bidders etc.

You have to read through the lines here.. EFL have already said they're going to start approved lists for administrators.. they are already very distrustful of Mel Morris.. Mel Morris has a huge grip on the club as probably it's largest creditor. I guess they want to know whether Quantuma are under his thumb.

I do think it is a bit weird that the EFLs rules can have so much influence on the insolvency process.

  7. This ain't the end of the punishment. The 'business plan' will prevent any true investment in the squad.

Apart from total annihilation/expulsion/liquidation/demolition of pride park you'll never get some fans of some clubs to believe we ever had any punishment.

At this point I'm not really sure what any further punishment really achieves apart from just pissing off Derby fans (unless collective fan punishment is what they're going for).

    Everyone responsible has long gone.

Sorry but can't feel any relief, excitement on hearing the news. With all the conditions in the contract that's been signed, it still leaves the club in limbo, unable to sign players and sell season tickets. It's just an extension under another name.

Yea to me, unless there's been a significant deposit been paid this is just a way to keep Ashley out. It's unclear what the penalties are for not completing the deal.

Not surprised. Can't be arsed to read it.

I kind of get it... But equally i think they need to be careful that the EFL doesn't overreach here. With the football creditors rule etc I do wonder whether the government might be upset with this, if it is seen to put another obstacle in the way of a legal process. There is also the very obvious conflict of interest issue.
