Am I the only person who thinks it was the right decision? The defender went into the challenge? It wasnt like the ball was kicked at him.

40,000 at Arsenal and 38,000 at Chelsea this weekend.
I don't watch or follow the ladies games personally but I did watch the national team a couple of months ago, whatever, these are seriously big crowds. I assume some of those will be to get their footie fix with no Premier League games but even so, its looking like its taking off big time.
Tickets are much cheaper and crowd is friendly. It's a good value day out for families.
£36 for 2 adults, 2 children for arsenal v Chelsea at the emirates

12 years everyone has had to call out what happens in Qatar and they all wait until the last minute to air their views just so they can be seen in a good light
You been living in Doha for the last 12 years? People have been criticising the choice to choose them and Qatar ever since it was announced.
Qatar seems a thoroughly unsuitable place for a world cup due to its size alone let alone HR abuses.

Absolutely love to see otib in meltdown over their finances and the weird 'add backs' that seem to saving them from FFP issues.

Last season was meant to be his last, said he'd stay on another year.
The old farts were his mates, they gelled well together but one by one have been replaced by younger pundits.
Not the same anymore, although to be fair I haven't watched it recently so may have improved.
Viewing numbers will struggle with known methods of circumventing location to watch streams.
Sky sports soccer Saturday stopped being relevant when they took it off Freeview.
Im not sure having 3pm games on TV would damage people watching their own teams tbh. It would impact someone like me who regularly go to non league games because their team is too far away to watch regularly - particularly how everything's going up. I'd be more likely to stay at home and watch derby on telly.

Read online somewhere where after bonuses were capped, basic pay rose for bankers.
The whole point of capping bankers bonuses was to reduce the reward for reckless risk taking.

The scrapping of IR35 is pretty big news for the hundreds of thousands of contractors. Some well paid.
Many contractors did very well under the old rules... Huge, barely justifiable, day rates and then doing all they can to reduce their tax liabilities that PAYE staff had no ability to take advantage of. Contracts lasted years, or just move between projects in the same organisation. Good work if you can get it.

Wonder whether this is related to the speculation that he earns more than would be permitted under EFL business plan?

You say Russia have gone to liberate Eastern Ukrainians, but that doesn’t work with Russia’s strategy at the start of the war. They tried to take Kyiv, flew rockets into Odessa in the South West, rockets into Lyiv in the east. They’ve hit civilian targets, mass graves found in Bucha, civilian corridors being attacked. What does any of that have to do with liberating Eastern Ukrainians?
Tbh when Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 they did the same.. got to the suburbs of tblisi. Eventually withdrew to South Ossetia.

It just confirms that FFP is one giant hypocrisy. This is way worse than what we were guilty of and at those values Watford are taking the piss. It also raises serious questions what the Carvalho transfer from Forest to Olympiakos actually was. Still undisclosed!! He would be £500k tops in the real market!!
Mel pissed off the EFL, he pissed off Gibson who decided to make it an issue, they then both stopped at nothing to bury us (with an unforeseen significant helping hand from Mel who became the ultimate villain). If Mel was cordial with the EFL and didn’t piss off Gibson we’d have been fine Re:FFP. Allowing this complete and utter nonsense shows they aren’t serious about it!
I'd love them to take a look at this. It's now so blatant that they're using the two clubs to transfer ffp headroom. Don't know if there's any oversight the EFL can do really, might have to include uefa as well.

Noticed that radio derby have been playing ramstv interviews. Is that normal?

Hugely disappointed that the takeover didn't go through today... Still have a bit of faith it'll be done by end of tomorrow but surprised it's been so difficult to close the deal, I'd have thought the majority of the work wouldve been sorted during the CK debacle.

Coles sounds a bit surprised it's not done/announced.

He makes the challenge and goes to ground so therefore needing to break his fall is deliberate and therefore a deliberate handball? It's not like he loses his balance whilst tracking the run. He could have stood his ground and done nothing or made a challenge which didn't need his arm to break the fall.
