We can't play 352, our strengths don't compliment that formation.
 
NML is our danger man. Having him play as wing back is killing our creativity. When he's the right side of a front 3, he has 1 man to beat and frightens defences. When he's playing wing back he has further to travel and by that time he's stifled by 3 players and the fear of getting caught out and not being able to get back. We are boring.
 
We are dying for proper attacking wb's which I've said from the start. We are also dying for a Beilik in the cdm role. Someone to break up play and start our attacks, we lack muscle. Smith is more of a box to box and Bird and Hourihane keep the ball and have neat passing, but without some steel backing them up, they're getting bullied.
 
442 is our best hope currently but not sure bird and hourihane can play together atm.
Overall, Horrendous first half.

Not arsed about about the cup at all.
 
Played majority of our reserves against some of the best up and comers out there. That Borges for them is gonna be some player. Absolutely lightning quick, big future for him

I'm not gonna lie... VERY stupid decision. You don't let a manager go after this amount of games, building a team spirit and relationship with a team that's been together 7-8 weeks.. we're 7th in the league.. just finding our feet and now you want someone else to come in who will have a new philosophy?
 
Unless it's a decision by LR rather than us, very stupid decision. Some of our players are here because of their bond with LR and without him, I think the likes of Knight etc will be gone in January. Just my opinion obviously, but far too soon for decisions like this. Look after those that stood by when the ship was sinking when they could of left, but didn't For the love of the club and us as fans.

Also, I've said countless times... we are DYING without marauding wing backs. Our formation relies on that and without them, we're getting stifled in the final 3rd. 
Roberts is not a wb. Chester is most certainly not.
Don't see how we can trouble teams without them. I really don't.

Mac 1 was by far the best the though. And his introduction of going into the dressing room from the stand with derby 3-0 down at half time and us drawing 3-3 was truly God like. I thought he was sent by the Lord himself after the run we went on after

Absolutely shocking first half. We have nice passages of play here and there but Knights foul really f'd up our plans of controlling the game and working our way into it, which is why I've been saying for the longest that we need a rb in the form of what we've had over the last however many years. Fast both going forward and defending. Knight is a box to box midfielder and we could actually do with him there more than at rb right now.
 
Didzy needs to come on in place of Collins IMO as we need to keep hold of the ball infront of their box instead of wasting possession.

There's 2 teams on the planet I hate more than anyone. Leeds and Plymouth Argyle, so to lose to them custard churning pasty fillers after being 2-0 up gives me absolute nightmares.
 
I hope LR learns from this in regards to game management, I reckon he will. Too many people quick to turn on the manager when the players mess up. Its not LR fault that the players cant shut out a 2 goal lead considering the standard of players we have. Although we are definitely in need of Knight in the middle of the park and a natural rb, however I'm stilI unsure Oduroh is the answer defensively.
 
I also feel we missed Korey Smith coming on to give us a bit of transitional energy. Strong in tackles and turning it over. Bird is good once he's got the ball, but Korey is that all round cm you need in this league.
 
Overall, fuming still with the result, I hope this is a wakeup call needed for the players to not switch off in future. Gonna go and hide from anything Derby and Plymouth Argyle related until Tuesday/Saturday.

I said in a couple posts I'd like to see us sign a pacey forward to give us another option up top. The chances are we are gonna be a goal or 2 up against teams and in the 2nd half when they are pressing us, gives us that space behind their defence for a striker to capitalise on.

Other than that, I watched us today and even tho we lost, I thought "we're gonna win the league" and I assure you we will, once we do the above and get atleast 1 pacey wing back in ?
