Social media has made this promotion so much more fun

It has - but only because it’s given an insight into how great the group of players are. Celebrating with the fans from the final whistle all the way through pubs in town. Genuinely nice blokes happy for themselves, the club and the city.

Compare with other stuff I saw this week with Leicester players celebrating going up by gathering in the safety of one of their mansions and having a few drinks around the kitchen island. Soulless and removed from the fans.

Really shows what Warne has built and hopefully he can keep the spirit even through squad changes over summer.

Andy Appleby & co reappeared during admin and similar to DC seemed to be there a little because of sentiment. Wonder if they became acquainted with DC somehow during admin and could invest?
Were other rumours earlier in the season about potential US investors at a match I think?

I’d take Appleby involvement back in a heartbeat. Thought they were a good thing for us the first time and like what he had to say in the interview during admin. Plus he is in the business of finding serious sports investment now and has the contacts and skills to do something great. That being said, I think this should only be in partnership with Clowes, who I believe has a solid vision of how he can grow the club sensibly.

This was a bad retro redesign of one of their old kits. So, luckily, no chance we would have it.

It’s impressive how they found room for four bad design ideas all at the same time!

Knowing how they've treated us in the past (some of it justified before we get accused of having a persecution complex), if it was abandoned after 16 minutes with Reading 1:0 up they'd probably award them the 3 points.

He wasn’t a free but Christian Dailly went to Blackburn for like £5-£6m didn’t he? It’s not often we can say that we had another clubs pants down!

IIRC we filled in the south east corner shortly after that at the cost of … £5-6m. Thanks, Christian!

Yes he did but IIRC it was with a Merc and he had all the seats done out with black and white leather. I also seem to remember him picking a fan up on the way to Pride Park in it one matchday, maybe even someone on this forum.

If I remember correctly, didn’t Savage get a baby Bentley Coupe but the younger members of the squad told him he’d got ‘an old man’s car’ so he sold it.

It’s not the going down injured that I dislike. It’s the going down holding his head that only can be to get a player sent off

Referee has to stop the game for a potential head injury. That is the aim - to stop momentum. It’s not ideal, but as others have said, we have got disadvantaged year in year out by opposition doing this to us and our refusal to do likewise has been naive and lost us vital games.

Even now, we mock on of our own great strikers of the last few years for going down easy - when he (apart from scoring) killed momentum, win free kicks, gave time for our team to get in position etc.

As @carlsagan said, I’m bored of being plucky losers.
