I mean, who is this bloke that he has access to such information?!
IF Mel is moving the goalposts with stadium value to suit his whims so he can get every last penny out of a potential buyer then he needs to ducking stop and give his head a wobble. This is no time for greed and he needs to stick to a simple (low) valuation and get the duck away from DCFC affairs forever.

We really are a bunch of stalkers, aren't we? ?
It’s on one of my weekend cycle routes so I go pay that place often enough. Just lucky that it looked familiar.
I hope the lad does well down here and I’ll keep an eye out for his performances and maybe catch the odd game here and there

That looks like a Premier Inn car park… so perhaps not another Chelsea theft?!
Read this and thought it did look familiar to the Premier Inn in Ilford which is just on the A406 near me, but when I checked it wasn't quite right.
I decided to check other local Premier Inn images and I think it's the Waltham Abbey branch. Which definitely puts him in the North/North East London area. Looks like Leyton if it's a League 2 club.

Not many London clubs it could be:
League 1 - Charlton, Wimbledon
League 2 - Leyton Orient, SuttonUnless you want to class any of the following as part of London...Wycombe (L1), Gillingham (L1), Crawley (L2), Stevenage (L2)
I wouldn't even class Charlton as London personally. Absolute nightmare to get to from anywhere except from Kent... ?
If he is coming to Orient then hopefully he will do well. They've had their troubles in the last few years, but look to be turning it around now and they have a good support base despite being stuck between the West Ham and Tottenham catchment areas.

That was going to be my guess. Decent club nowadays I think.
My local team. Image doesn't particularly look like anywhere around these parts though. There was another story of him and his agent that looked more like Central London, but perhaps he decided to see the sights before heading out to Zone 3 or 4 ?

Started well. Lawrence will be the first to admit he should’ve buried that chance.
Cooper made the right change at the right time and we didn’t adapt to the change well.
Came out quick in 2nd half but the goal from a set piece was a sucker punch and put us on the back foot.
Ravel wanted too much time on the ball for a local Derby in the championship. Plange starting with Kaz coming on works better over the 90 too.
Their 2nd was great play from Johnson.
Cooks challenge for the penalty was a higher foot than Morrisons red card.
Samba has no right to charge out and try and start fights.
Colback is annoying Bamford but suits Forest down to the ground.
A game of what ifs after a bright start. We need to get through this month and concentrate on survival on and off the pitch.

Reckon festy left wing ahead of Buchanan for double speed and interchangeable with Buchanan. Hopefully works well.

Is this all genuine then seeing as it’s on BBC Radio Derby etc ? Because if it is I might have to break dry January
How have you done dry January for this long with all this poo going on? Well done to your will power! (so far... ? )

The important question which everyone is afraid to ask here is, will this topic challenge the top 2, could Gorgeous George be toppled?
I think the time from first post to last post needs to be considered to put into context how much of a monster this thread is.
At this rate, I reckon the George Thorne saga will be surpassed in the next couple of weeks. Possibly as early as next week.

Would love to see Gibson lose his poo and a load of money challenging us when we aren't bound and gagged.

No stadium involved? I guess they are putting the money aside to tackle the court cases and when they get thrown out (not if) they will possibly buy the stadium?

This is down to that deal the EFL did with the PL isn't it?
Where they can just come around academies, whisk them away and leave a curly whirly on the side for us if they haven't played X number of games on a first team contract.
The EFL doing deals that are to the detriment of its members? I don't think so...

I have no doubt certain corners of the internet will be screaming that it is an injustice that someone can give us £7m to keep going when we haven't sold all our players!
Corners in the north east of England probably…

All this stuff going on today and still the only mention we get on BBC Sports page is Rooney (or Lampard) being fancied for the Everton job... ridiculous.

Yes apologies they will need to ask Derby for permission and Rooney will need to confirm his intentions (does he want the interview). But the position we are in, if we could get compensation and save on wages the admins may be up for it, however it could be detrimental to someone buying the club, they will need to weigh it up.
They wouldn't stump up £2m for their first choice, Martinez. They definitely won't offer us as much as Rooney is worth (or we need).

Obviously the only mention of Rooney on the BBC Sport and Football main pages is the Everton vacancy...

Given the speed at which the EFL arbitration processes move when they involve DCFC we'll need to find the funds to keep ourselves going until 2024 before a takeover can be concluded

Perhaps Mr Ashley, with his record of buying businesses in trouble, knows the ins and outs of these laws very well and has had his team going over the issues over the last week and this is the hand he is now playing to get best value for the club.

As with all EFL rules or guidelines, they are open to interpretation.
Clearly this has been misinterpreted as February 1st 2022, when it is actually meant to be 1st February 2022... Easy mistake to make.
