We played in the Championship for 14 straight years and with the exception of 1-2 years, the football was poor.
We’re now in League 1 under significant financial restrictions, with a hurriedly assembled squad of high profile free transfers and hopeful but inconsistent young players.
You might need to adjust your expectations.

Well, of course we are.  We are a League 1 team that was put (thrown) together in about a fortnight from a mixture of free signings and kids.  Add injuries, a general lack of fitness (for some), suspensions and change of management, what exactly were you expecting?  We haven't even got to December yet - it was always going to take some time.  Neither Warne nor Rosenior are miracle workers.

The game might be our first home match in five weeks - no scheduled home games in November unless we get a home cup draw(s).

I think that line-up shows just how far the club has come since July 1st. That's a well-balanced and decent 'all-change' XI - even without McGoldrick and Kasey Smith
