Why stop at a Mazda. Lets take out a loan and go with something new straight from the factory. If the new car doesn't get us where we want to go. We can always refinance and go with something sporty. If we're still lagging behind lets go all in and re-mortgage the house to buy the best car we can.

Oh wait, I'm sure we've try this before and if memory serves correctly. This strategy nearly cost us dearly.

                         Instinct, no.
Intelligence, it'll be a yes just needs to use it more.
Which is why with only having one out of the three abilities. He's plying his trade with us and not with a championship club. Like some posters believe he was capable of doing, when extolling his signing as a great piece of business by the former manager.
Unfortunately he's not the only one considered as a great signing, at their time of signing. Who are not ripping up this division, like many thought they would.
Is this failure of the manager, I'm sure they'll be many on here eager to point in that direction. Or could it be that these players no longer have enough of the three attributes, the OP considers a good player needs.

All sounds good but leaves enough loopholes to drive a fleet of double decker buses through.
Lets say someone like Jeff Bazos decides he wants to own a football club. I'll give you one guess on what company would be pouring in millions of pounds in sponsorship.

    1of4 got a reaction from molerat99 in A four or a five?
We've had numerous posts bemoaning Warne's tactics, of his playing five at the back which as caused much contention amongst fans. Yes the games he has used this system hasn't always been a great success.
But as this failure been due to the system or is it down to the unavailability of the players that can play it.
Against Blackpool on Tuesday we played with a back five that looked comfortable playing it. So should Warne stick with a five or should he revert back to a four?
Also we did have a midfield three that worked well together which helped.

Why would you assume that every season ticket holder who goes to away games would have an away membership.
As a season ticket holder I've been to all the away games this season where tickets have been available for me to buy. I was hoping to go to the Carlisle game but unfortunately tickets sold out before they reached my category. Though I did pass within a mile of Carlise's game when travelling up to Scotland on Saturday.
I'll be travelling to Blackpool and will also be at Notts County if I can get tickets.
Out of interest I'll be curious to know how many away members will be travelling to the Notts' EFL cup game that didn't go to the home EFL cup game against Lincoln?
Maybe a bit more kudos in attending that game, than bothering to turn up for the Lincoln game..

Why were either of those wins fortunate in particular the Peterborough game? Yes Posh we’re the better team up until our first goal and had the better chances in the second half but, the simple facts are, we scored 4 goals (only one of which had any element of good fortune about it) and they only scored 2. If you want to talk about luck, what about our bad luck with the referee decisions in the Bolton game which may have cost us a point?
What do you mean “this is not our actual level”?

Yes, Clough as made a good start to the season. How many years as he now been at Mansfield, did he build his team in one season or as it taken him a few seasons?
How many years did he take to build a team here? How many of those years did we flirt with relegation? When he did finally assemble a good group of players it needed a change of manager to utilise their full potential.
So we make him or A N Other our next manager. How long will we give them to achieve the success we want?
Oh wait fans want instance success, so who can we bring in that will guarantee this?
What happens if promotion doesn't instantly arrive? Do we go back to the tried and failed plan that nearly saw us go out of existence? Change the manager every time fans moan about the results or style of play.
While Warne's style may not be the prettiest at times, it as been proven to get teams promoted. Isn't promotion our main priority? I'm sure once that is achieved, the club will then decide on their next step.
I do think we're not seeing how Warne wants the team to play, due to the budget and transfer restrictions imposed by the EFL, some of the players he as had to bring in aren't good enough.
Hopefully come next season Warne will have a budget that enables him to deal in the transfer market for a better level of player.
Like everyone else, I want to see us promoted but accept that it may take a little longer than I'd hoped it would. With David Clowes giving Warne a four year contract, it appears he understood that getting the club back to where we were, may not be as quick as some fans had wanted.

Or are both polls going to rubble on to the end of the season?
