1Wildsmith 6.5 Commanded the box; controlled the air traffic - should he have saved the goal? The crossbar is a close friend.

24Nyambe 7 Powerfully present & precision passes;

35Nelson 8 Hassled, harried, headed them away.

6Cashin 7.5 Pumping pistons & sprayed clearances. Picked the ball off opponents toes like the Artful Dodger.

2Wilson 6 Deftly mobile & busy fleet of feet but bovine banjo a no no.

Bradley 6 10 minutes of steady guardsman duty. Halt who goes there!

12Smith 8.5 Marauding mobility, balletic turns and Pirloesque pirouettes then burst the onion bag. MotM

8Bird 🦅 7 Silent assassin of simple switch passes sweetly savoured.

Hourihane 6 Brought calm and control patrol.

22Fornah 8 Policed the park and passed sublimely.

Sibley 6 Late legs show; no sweat.

3Forsyth 7 Kept the decks cleared. A wonderful arcing fizz-ball sent spinning into Barks’ path was a joy.

9Collins 8 Huge honesty & heart; covered acres and smashed it in with left-foot aplomb.

10Waghorn 7 Snapped, crackled & popped. Energy & zipp. Goal #6 & all smiles.

11Méndez-Laing 7 Pacily posed the questions & a peach laid on for Smith.

7Barkhuizen 7.5 Broke the Blackpool backs with galloping goal assists. Should’ve/Could’ve had one too. Huge impact.

Tactical masterclass; Superb shape. Derby fans majestic. Memorable match of season-defining sliding-door moments.

1Wildsmith - 7 - handled well except one flap in the first-half after he was assaulted by the Invisible Man

24Nyambe - 7.5 - unmovable, except when he wants to move. Three impressive matches in a row to kick off his DCFC career

35Nelson - 7.5 - calmness personified. Another very good game, on his old stomping ground

6Cashin - 8 - read everything; kicked and headed nearly everything. Really good performance

2Wilson - 7 - should have opened his DCFC account but fortunately wasn't left to rue two (bad) misses; played his part generally regardless

Bradley - 6.5 - fine when he came on, headed what needed heading

12Smith - 8.5 - not sure what was slipped into his water pre-match but what a performance. A goal (!!!) and two assists which should really have been three. And his play was good generally too. Will teach me not to say "he wouldn't be in our best XI". Oops.

8Bird - 7 - quiet start but started pulling strings and showed us what we've been missing

Hourihane - 6 - did fine

22Fornah - 7.5 - got into the thick of it and played a couple of delightful passes. Seems to be really enjoying himself at the moment

Sibley - 6 - not much time to make any sort of impact but sensible in his play and helped us to see it out comfortably

3Forsyth - 7 - determined defending as always. Unfortunate to put himself on a yellow as early as he did, but coped pretty well with the pace of their winger

9Collins - 7.5 - very good shift and can never argue with a (well-taken) goal

10Waghorn - 7 - helped to construct and then finished off a goal; good contribution

11Méndez-Laing - 7.5 - eating my words on NML too - good pick-out for the opener and should have had another assist for Wilson's awful header

7Barkhuizen - 7.5 - what an impact off the bench: 2 quality assists and probably should have had a goal back where it all began

Wildsmith 6 Will be disappointed with the goal and spilled a couple of crosses…..no panic yet.

24Nyambe 7.5 who’d have thought that a proper right back who can defend would improve the back four!

35Nelson 7.5 Excellent alongside Cashin.

6Cashin 7.5 Excellent alongside Nelson.

2Wilson 5.5 Did ok……till he got into the opponents half

Bradley 6 Right up his street, one dimensional attack, hit it long head it away, repeat.

12Smith 9 Where’s this bloke been for the last 12 months, absolutely outstanding, played 10 yards further forward in the second half, massive impact.

8Bird 🦅 8 remarkable return from injury, took him 20 minutes or so to get involved, then back to his best.

Hourihane 6 nice little run out.

22Fornah  8 This lad is something else, got a bit of a swagger about him, perfect just in front of the back four.

Sibley 6 Good outlet late on.

3Forsyth 7 He’s no Roberto Carlos, but if the opposition are slinging balls into the box Fozzys yer man.

9Collins 7 Put in a good shift, work rate outstanding, smart finish, best match for ages.

10Waghorn. 7 Wanders on, finishes the game off with a classy goal, wanders off, typical Waggy.

11Méndez-Laing 7 another who put in a good shift, great pull back for Smith, looked dangerous

7Barkhuizen 7.5 Excellent, involved in some proper passing football, has to start Saturday instead of Wilson!

Thanks @angieram. I was buzzing all the way home on the mini-bus, entirely due to the thrill of the match, and re-living those mental pictures of game changing moments. Isn't football brilliant when it works for your team?

But, Will Madame Football brings us back to Earth at Cheltenham on Saturday - I daren't even mention that statistic!  (Cheltenham Town, who equalled an English Football League record by failing to score for an 11th successive match) damn! I've said it. 😲

Wildsmith 7

commanded his box well

Nelson 7.5

getting better each week

Cashin 8

Strong in the tackle gave us that bite

Fozzy 7

few moments but defended well

Nyambe 8

Solid looks a great signing

Wilson 7

Missed a sitter and another good chance but gave us that spark with his tricky runs

Fornah 8

good signing growing each game

Smith 9 MOTM

his best Derby game

Bird 8

good to have him back

NML 7

good assist kept going

Collins 7

great finish looked exhausted before that, lots of chasing on his own always puts in a shift

All the subs did a job, really glad Barky has stayed thought he’d be gone in the summer.
