Let’s face it, if he wants the job, he’ll stamp his feet.
Being manager of Everton is a thankless and pointless task. He's been sacked from it before. He's got top players to manage now. He isn't ever going to have that at Everton.

I wonder if we can help get the administrators to set one up? any revenue raised goes straight to the club.
Then as fans we cam reach out to local businesses and former players for support as well.
Like the end of 'It's a Wonderful Life'?
I imagine a good many local businesses are creditors. Not sure if that would increase chances of them contributing or not.

'Bad fortune'.

An interesting piece about Pope and others not progressing.

Blimey. I just watched the 'highlights' of Day 3. I wish I hadn't.
The standard of shot selection was the worst I can remember.
There are people there who should never play test cricket again. Burns, Malan, Pope, Woakes (and I say this as a Warwickshire man) should be done. Add in Buttler and Leach and the impending retirement of Anderson and Broad and we are left with Root, Stokes, Wood, Robinson as the only players worth a place.

If I were an Everton fan, I'd be hoping for Rooney at this point.
I'm pretty amazed that people think that Rooney won't take it the moment it's offered. He's shown remarkable loyalty to the Rams and I think he'll always have a soft spot for us, and he'll look after us with loans etc, but he would be insane to turn Everton down for about 50 reasons. Not the least of which is he could be easily made redundant here in next couple of weeks.
The compensation, if any, won't be huge and Everton won't even blink if they decide Rooney is their man.
In the same way Chelsea fans were hoping for Lampard?

Financially, Rooney is our biggest asset right now.
I suspect that Rooney will agree to join Everton if they pay enough compensation to see us through.
His final gift to the club.

These players must want to join said clubs when these offers are accepted surely ? So who the hell would want to play in a quarter full ground for Wigan Athletic ?? imagine their away support !!!!!? So in that case he has tarnished his legacy at DCFC for me .
Perhaps he wants to help the club by raising funds and cutting costs.

Worrying that Wayne said he was called and told a bid had been accepted for Shinnie ...what happened to no one will leave without his blessing.
Rooney's not in control of what happens to the assets

Maybe he doesn't want to go. Doesn't have to if he doesn't want to. He is a key player and Rooney says no one will be leaving without his permission
Rooney's 'permission' is no longer relevant

No Forsyth at LF really concerns me with our lack of height in this team. Literally only Davies and Stearman will win anything in the air.
Strange one for me. The lack of Shinnie will also be an interesting one.
There's been a lack of Shinnie for weeks

There was a joke in the 80s about Man City chairman Peter Swales contacting Terry Waite about the manager's job but Waite said he was happy where he was.
