Might as well cancel Football if that's handball, or design a straightjacket kit for next season.

No referee can honestly say that's handball, the IFAB rules that they apply are shambolic.

I felt a bit sorry for the ref. He has no choice there. Unlike previously, when all he had to do was to decide if it's deliberate or not. No reasonable person looking at that can say for certain that it was deliberate handball.

Doesn't matter any more. Moaning managers, players, fans and pundits have got the handball 'clarity' they demanded.

BBC Latest: Man City 1-1 Bournemouth - 17-year-old Delap scores superb debut goal

That might make you even more pissed off!

Wasn't he the one who we wouldn't let play footsal? Or am i confused.

That was another fella whom we ducked off to somewhere rubbish after his dad blubbed on some TV documentary. Or something like that.

    Eh..

It's in the non-Derby forum, that'll do. Merging it with the ex-rams thread while everyone is so determined to have big discussions about him is just going to turn that thread into yet another Martin thread.

We'll merge any other Martin stuff that gets posted into this thread until the frequency slows down enough to go into ex-rams.

For 'big discussions' read 'big whine'

Of course he will - any true fan would Get behind our new striker and be a huge fan of anyone scoring goals for us but that doesnt stop those of us  that did always being a huge Chris fan too and wishing things had turned out differently with him part of it.  No different to people who thought Hughes, Bryson, Russell, Vydra, Keogh even Malone shouldnt have gone when they did but have still supported their replacements.  Your comment suggests Chris fans arent Derby fans first and foremost which is daft

Well I can't help what you infer. Given that Te Wierik is already copping flak having replaced nobody in particular, we'll see what happens.

Which is not a reflection on Martin, our slow laborious playstyle and lack of creativity is to blame in that regard. Martin was by far our most clinical striker. Which of our good wins last season came without Chrissy? I think what's silly is people clamouring to get rid of our top goal scorer when we don't have a replacement, and we're left with 2 worse strikers.

Indeed it is not a reflection on Martin. Just an observation that predicting that we'll be toothless next season because of the absence of Martin is not would not really be that much of a change.

Not sure how you define 'good' wins (as opposed to bad wins?). How many of our defeats occurred without Martin? It's just as valid a question.

Not sure understanding why the club didn't over him more on a longer contract equals 'clamouring to get rid' of him.

How many goals did Waghorn score last season?
