I'd love to know how this ends.  It's got me on tenterhooks!   ?

    The reasons are simple...
We couldn't pursue anything (legally speaking) as we had agreed to accept The EFL's governance, including their interpretation of any wording to rules that did... or did not... exist at that time, in order to remain in their cosy little members-only club.
Such an agreement remains in place at the current time, of course.
We could of course, have withdrawn our membership at any stage, before proceeding to sue their arse off in a court of law... and quite possibly have won!
That option remains in place at the current time, or any time in the future, of course.
Someone decided that was not the best approach at the time... and I suspect that will not change in the foreseeable future... and The EFL have known that all along!

Something, billhooks, something, something tight grip!  ?

I hope that Parry is worried that we are going to take legal action against him and/or the EFL for restriction of practice. Once they had pulled the trigger about our accountancy practices, they took months and months before taking the next step, so we were effectively on hold as a club for ages. They broke their own rules and processes, got Gibson to make a spurious claim against us so that he didn't take the EFL to court, then refused to have the claim heard in a proper court of law. The court wouldn't have even entertained the case, then the EFL sat on the fence about whether his claim was a football or non-football claim until the transfer window was over, which meant we lost two key players, effectively consigning us to relegation. And ironically the rule which we were supposed to have broken with the amortisation method we used didn't actually exist in the EFL rule book until February 2022 - years after the "offence" was supposed to have happened.
The whole case could have been dealt with in a matter of months, instead of the years it dragged on for, during which time we were heavily restricted in how we could operate. There are probably reasons why we can't pursue the claim, but boy wouldn't it blow the EFL into smithereens?

West Brom fans invade the pitch at Chesterfield after scoring a late equaliser. Against a non-league team.
I'm not sure even Forest fans could be that pathetic.

You're correct, you can't see much from there, I live right next to the NEC and I've had to get a ticket in the east stand..........btw, the caravan and motorhome shows are always in February and October.?

Some will have a gammy leg, and prefer an aisle seat... quite possibly on a particular end of a block, (as they only have one gammy leg!) and none were available by the time they looked at purchasing a ticket?
Some will prefer to be directly behind a staircase barrier, (Or front row of West stand upper?) as opposed to someone's head.
Some may have a bad neck, and can only look forward or to the right (Northern end of West Stand is closed, Southern end of East Stand can be a bit standy-uppy, and very close to those boisterous away fans!)
Some may prefer to be directly behind a goal... but not in an area infamous for standing, swearing, slurred speech, and drug-induced imbalance!
Some may only go in their usual group of 6 (friends or family), in two rows of three?  No other combination will do!

On a more serious note... there are even people out there who would simply not sit anywhere other than an aisle seat, as being mid-block leaves them feeling trapped, vulnerable, and unable to escape quickly enough, should a war-related panic attack ensue!  (Other causes of said panic attacks are almost certainly available, I presume?)

We all pick our seats for various reasons.  Some are more choosy than others, yet none of us should be judged on it!

I don’t know the answer, maybe we should have a poll asking why 10,000 people that have bought a season ticket don’t want to turn out tomorrow, when they do for the rest of the season.

I'd have been 12 days short of my 20th birthday.
Already shacked up with young mouths to feed, this was during my budget-enforced DCFC Hiatus, (as was the vast majority of the 80's/early 90's) so had to make do with the TV offering of the day.
Still great to watch it again though, so thanks for the reminder, @loweman2  ??

I was at the game as he walked round the pitch at the end and every fan - Derby or Chelsea - applauded him. Absolutely legend. Lovely guy, ready smile and twinkle in his eyes.
Feel this much harder than Pele personaly ...modern day footballer who I've watched in the flesh and looked like he could run through brick walls.

My stomach knotted up reading this thread title!
    Truly sickening!
Not only because this is the same b****** cancer that took my mother before I'd officially even exited my childhood, but this bloke was not just a bloody fantastic footballer, but he also came across as a thoroughly decent chap.
...And he ain't even proper old school!  Practically a modern day player in my mind! ... and younger than me, to boot!

    Such sad, sickening news.
May you rest in peace, sir.
