Was there tonight at the match in the main stand and got a really good view of the game overall. Good performance, but disappointing result. Well deserved 1:0 lead at half-time and it could have easily been 2:0. Derby in control with Hutchinson bossing it in midfield. Had a really good half and looks like a bright prospect for the future. Unlike what was to follow in the second half, we also looked solid defensively. Sibley looked sharp and took his goal really well.
Second-half, conceded a cheap equalizer early doors through poor marking. After that, we reacted well and looked the most likely team to score with Stretton unlucky not to add to his goal tally. Then there was THAT winning goal for the Blades. A complete and utter gift. How come we always gift opponents these type of goals but never get gifts from them?
Big up to the travelling Rams fans who were fantastic.

My hunch is a face saving deal has been reached but that requires new audit sign off after changes, hence the extension and much less combative statement from the EFL.
That, or, the EFL didn't want my Hull City match day thread being hijacked by accounts news.

Thing is, if he did have an awareness of wheat, he could cultivate a small crop field down the right hand side of the pitch in our half. That would be guaranteed to slow down any marauding left wingers on the opposition. Job done. Half time, get a combine in, then repeat the job on the other half of the pitch
    Wheat from the chaff.
    Job done.

Get kit updated with Fark the EFL all over it maybe also have a team hat also with said Fark the EFL logo.
Get beat every week and say screw it. Do congas round the ground each week and take beach balls, inflatable sheep and different fancy dress theme every home game.

Lawrence is the only one that might make a tiny bit of make you for us, maybe 1.5 million. He would be the first one I would get rid of.

marshall, we simply don’t need 3 goalies.

    jozwiak, because he is rubbish.

Sibley, because he is a liability.

and I would replace them with…
well, pretty much anyone who is dumb enough to agree to sign for the basket case of a club….I don’t think we can be picky..

I’d replace Tom Lawrence with Jennifer Lawrence. Unlikely to be any major change in performance levels, or results, but shirt swapping at full time would cheer me up.

I hear what you're saying Curtains but look at the facts - I went to Salford and Notts County preseason thought support and backing was very good, I was at Huddersfield and the support especially from the South Stand was excellent.
From what I hear away support yesterday in numbers was very good, detraction being the idiots making offensive remarks.
So we are backing the team and Rooney but nothing is changing. It's not that simplistic to just say that.
Something else needs to fundamentally change and quickly.

Loads of threads about Rooney out/Mel out/both Rooney and Mel out/underperformed players etc etc soooo.... time for a different topic to thrill and amuse us all.
    The key question is:
"Where is the next win coming from?
We've no win in the last 9 league games now (and won 1 in 17) and we are desparately in need of 3 points.
The burning question is when and where is it coming from?
What do you think good Ramsfolk?
I'm the eternal optimist so I'm going for:
    ° HULL (A)
Get your predictions in and the winner(s) ? win a night out at a club of their choice with the main man himself, WR.

You’re dead on there. I mean he’s been given all these resources, we have a great squad full of talent. Could not ask for better conditions to manage under and with a host of managers lining up to take the job then why do we keep him in post? ?

This is not uncommon for a late substitute. It happens all over, will happen in many other games today. He's a talented footballer who isn't being utilised correctly and will go on to do well at another club if he goes. This reactionary nonsense as if he has made the most horrendous error of all time and not just reacted slightly late is funny.

That was a rather bad day at the office. 1:0 at F/T and just needed to hold out for 11 minutes of injury time. It could have all turned out so differently.
But this is Derby County. It was as predictable as watching a slow-motion car crash. The impact of that game go beyond just the loss of 3 points. The loss of any sort of confidence we had. The loss of CKR.

Some great observations on here, thank you. The most common one is that it is good to be back!
It was a fair score, with the Rams producing far more than could honestly be expected, especially given that no-one knew who would be playing until midday Friday! And that our central defenders had never played together!
I must commend Tom Lawrence. Not for his going deep to pick up the ball, or for his hard work, but that although he got loads of good tackles in, there wasn't any sign of his hot headedness or petulance. Absolutely superb, especially as this ref seemed to book any Derby player that moved! Maybe Tom had got the ref sussed, which is why he didn't go down in the area. A friend in the North Stand who is a qualified ref (not sure if that is anything to boast about given what we have to put up with at Pride Park!) said both penalties were good shouts, especially the foul on Louie Watson.
Some are having a go at people on this forum for singling out players for criticism, meaning Joswiack. I think the reason is that it was clearly his weakness all of last season, and despite a good showing in the Euros he is still making the same gash mistakes in front of goal. It seems that there is no sign of having learned anything, or made any progress. Shame, as he holds the ball well, and works well in midfield, .............. until that final decision.
The issue of Sibley and how he is being used at Derby remains. His "game-changing" performance has been questioned because he didn't score and change the game. Really? We had just had 50 minutes with no clue as to who was going to even try to score, while Sibbers managed three really good shots. Maybe he should have done better, but actually he did much better than any of the other players whose job it is to shoot at goal.
I am furiosu about the yellow card he was given, because it was his first, and possibly only foul, almost as if the ref had been charge with carding Sibley. The same applies to Louie Watson, who was also carded for his first offence. He had been targetted, because he was clattered heavily three times in the opening 15 minutes or so, plus the penalty incident, with little done to cut out the heavy handed tactics by our opponents. As most said, he got it wrong in virtually all the 50/50 challenges, and allowed Huddersfield's strong arm tactics to go without restraint. One of the reasons CKR didn't produce very much is that he was being bear-hugged every time the ball got near him. That he did some good things is credit to him.
So - we weren't anything special, but everyone seemed committed to the cause, and battled hard, producing more than we could have expected. And it is clear that the summer break has meant that the refs hadn't lost their edge - they are still crap. I reckon there is reason for hope, at least some hope, which is way better than I had thought.
The main thing is that it is good to be amongst fans again, even though the Rams administration (can I use that word now?) made a mess of the ticketing. They promised to keep our seats available for season ticket holders, but had actually sold our seats from under our backsides, so we hardly knew anyone around us. The upside is that we now get to know even more Rams fans than we did before!

The ref was truly rubbish. A fact that didn’t escape my 9-year-old daughter in her maiden Derby game: "Dad. Why is the ref so bad?".
