This one would make a lot more sense. More so than Mendez-Laing anyway.
He's naturally left footed so would occupy the spot on the RW quite nicely. Other than Waghorn, we don't have enough left footed wide forwards/wingers.
He's had his fair share of injury issues over the past few years, undoubtedly talented though.

AM in a 4231 or on the wing in any formation. He's still too defensively naïve to have in a 433 for me. Bielik, Knight and Shinnie pick themselves at the moment and have the consistency Sibley doesn't. He'll be used primarily on the wing until Lawrence returns due to lack of other options (Waghorn and Whittaker his main competition)
He put in a pretty bad performance in that game in all fairness. Sibley will know that and will have to add consistency to his game to nail down a regular spot in the team.
Not with our squad being so small. If he does go it's down to finances.
Doubtful. Just other CMs showing more consistency and winger contributing more to the team overall

Yep I agree, I'm 25 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I only really remember supporting the Rams when Burley came onto the scene so it was an interesting to learn more about what actually went on with the 3 amigos/the follow on when Gadsby and his consortium cleared the clubs debts, as well as everything that came before that in the earlier years with Jim Smith and Gregory.
I couldn't recommended it highly enough to any Rams fans who haven't purchased yet!

Thanks David, glad it went down well and provided a few smiles over a time where they've been pretty hard to come by! And @Heisenberg& @DJAY, good to hear it did the job! I'm 25 as well so at times it was a whole lot of research but then for others it was just through my extensive and ultimately sad knowledge of the club.
Heard from the publishers that it's in for a second edition reprint as it's gone down so well, so a massive thanks to everyone who has taken a read. I loved working on it. In terms of that audiobook from Billy, we might be waiting a while sadly

    Happy Friday one and all!
I should probably apologise in advance as I feel a little bit spammy, but I'm pretty excited to say that Pride (or Pride: The Inside Story of Derby County in the 21st Century to give it the full, far too long name) will be available from the club shop and online from this weekend!
    Link - https://www.dcfcmegastore.co.uk/item/2865/Books/Pride-Na.html
For those who don't know, Pride is a project I've been working on for around three years in total, and it's seen me work with just over 60 former players, managers, chairmen, coaches and #ITK fans to tell the tale of the club from the moment we moved into Pride Park until the beginning of this year. It's not really a game by game account, it's more of a focus on each season, the on-field and off-field dramas (even the crash), all told by those who lived it from the inside. So to put the 60 people into context, it varies from the likes of Stefano Eranio, Steve McClaren and Warren Barton through to Gary Rowett, Harry Wilson, Giles Barnes, Inigo Idiakez and Jake Buxton.
The club have been extremely supportive and it's been a huge surprise to have them come on board, considering the content paints a factual tale, but they've been a huge help and it's fantastic to have them on board.
For anyone who has pre-ordered already - and a massive thank you for your interest in what began as just a daft little project to pass the time - what I'm going to recommend to people is that they cancel their pre-orders with Amazon and the likes, because hopefully money won't have been taken. Then the book will be available for around a week or two at the club and the megastore, before hitting the wider world. Unfortunately this one was out of my hands so I'm expecting a few pelters ?
I'll try not to spam too much but if anyone has any questions or comments on the book, what it's about or why certain people didn't make the cut, just reply or drop me a message. And most of all, for anyone who is keen and interested in understanding almost every major development and in-story of the club over 20+ years, I really hope you enjoy it. I'm on Twitter at @PrideDCFC where I'll be rambling to myself and sharing a few articles I've done over the past few months.
You might see/hear me a bit over the media over the next few weeks, so I'm always here to throw abuse at! I had a chat with the @Steve Bloomer's Washing team as well for their latest episode: https://soundcloud.com/user-147200653/sbw-94-Derby-county-2000-2020

Now then ladies and gentleman... firstly I hope you are all well and secondly sorry for the mother of rants which is about to unfold...
As some may be aware from the ‘new parents’ thread I made last year I am lucky enough to now be the father of the most incredible little lady this planet has ever seen, also from that thread some of you may be aware that the pregnancy wasn’t all plain sailing.
Unfortunately neither does the living side seem to be. Our daughter had corrective surgery to save her life at 1 day old... in the next 44 days before coming home she would go on to have 5 collapsed lungs, 2 cardiac arrests, 1 blood transfusion, 7 ventilations, 2 more surgeries and numerous amount of pain relief/medication.
last Friday though everything was brilliant and me and my wife were finally able to bring her home... the next few days were the best of my life and something that we were robbed of for the first month and a half of her life, we had numerous visitors and for to introduce her to her family.
on Tuesday we went to the park with our other daughter as quite understandably she was quite overwhelmed and a bit jealous about her new little sister... whilst at the park I was feeding Clara-Leisa who subsequently stopped breathing and vomited blood through her mouth and nose. I had to do CPR in the middle of the park on her as the air ambulance (absolutely amazing) and 2 road ambulances turned up.
Thankfully I managed to get her breathing again and the incredible paramedics and drs kept her going and she’s on the mend.
i don’t really know the purpose of this post but just felt it would possibly help to have a Release.
photo’s included of how she is today as I realise what I’ve written is traumatic and we could be a lot worse...

Not something you'd watch over and over, but a good watch nevertheless. Adam Sandler played the role brilliantly considering he's normally known for his comedic roles. Very fast paced and basically 2 hours 15 minutes of anxiety. ?

I have to say, I loved @BurtonRam7 matchday plan too.
No bravado, no BS, just a lad looking forward to possibly the best day of his life, and sharing it with family and friends.
Even if it goes tits up, I get the feeling it's a day he'll remember forever regardless of result, because he's shared it with the people who matter, and made the time to make it that way.

    Ha! I'll take that!!
What I love about this forum is that it's not really had any bravado. There isn't people presenting the best version of themselves because its anonymous. The mods and David do such an excellent job that you can't shoot people down and bully them out the door
So what we end up with is bit by bit, year by year, thanks to shitty football, people reveal themselves. Like the real them.
Once people start putting themselves out there and seeing it's not rejected they show a bit more and you end up with beautiful threads like this one.
I think I might be one of the many posters that spills nonsense from their brain onto these pages and I think others might see that as relatable even if they don't agree with me.
I get that feel from numerous posters. I love reading their absolute rubbish. Your post about your play off match day plans was one of them. No bravado... just you typing words as they come in your head. I can tell as I read it. It was more interesting than looking at Big Dave's amazing night out pictures of balls
You don't get that on Facebook. Posts are planned mostly. Thought through for how others will read them. Like I am sure new posters do on here
In time, on here, people talk poo. Protected by anonymity. And it becomes such a comfortable place.
I think people just relate to anyone who leaves a post unedited exactly as it left their brain. I do it all the time so that probably helps me get on with most people. Or I feel like I get on with most people. If I don't then that would be pretty gutting knowing short of seeing my face this is me!
Hope we win on Monday, mate. For many reasons but it's a wicked day you have lined up and I hope you can sink dark fruits with your nearest and dearest with a daft grin on your face!
