InstaRam reacted to Dean (hick) Saunders in Tyreece John-Jules
Think I would prefer to see if Brown could make the step up. If we signed TJJ we would have to sign another reliable player for the same squad place so would block out Brown so we would have to loan him.. then regret it straight away when injuries bite.

Those that haven't gone on holiday (with their families, the rest don't need holidays) should be in training already

But how does him getting snapped pissed up make him dreadful for the club?. Also it's a team game, Rooney playing badly wouldn't have got Cocu sacked, the team playing badly got him the sack.
Rooney was one of the most dedicated footballers whilst playing, you only have to listen to his old team mates to realize what he put into the game.
Still having the drive to be a good manager when he could live a life of luxury and relaxation with absolutely no money worries just shows how driven he is.
Like i've said, he could have binned us off before the start of the relegation season but he stuck it out, and spent his own money to boot.
He deserves credit for that and I think most level headed fans can see that.
You obviously have a personal grudge against him as a person, which is fine, he's got himself in one or two compromising positions throughout his career. But remember he was a child superstar coming from a poor background and the fame and money had an adverse effect on him, especially in his younger days.

Not a points deduction, but unsure where to put this
Assume punishment will be a 47 minute transfer embargo or similar

I’d definitely add Aasgard of Wigan to the midfield list.

Out of interest, we didn't need a back three last season why do we need one this? Just shift Bradley on, he was the reason for the three.

Brown reportedly rated at £17m by Gent, with Villa and Palace linked.
Whittaker reporedly had an £8.5m bid from Lazio turned down in January.
Ebosele was linked with Spurs, with around £12m being needed for Udinese to sell.
Buchanan moved from Bremen to Birmingham for around £1.5m.
Liam Delap is available again this summer, with Man City looking for £10m.
Sibley was better than all of them.
Add, Bird, Knight (and Sibley) to that list above and it's only £6m generated from sales, whereas they'd cost more than £50m now.
Hughes looked a class above his peers at U18 level, but was never a match winner like Sibley.
Huddlestone similar to Hughes in respect to looking a class above (and a physical monster for his age) but not being a match winner... not surprising for a CB tbh.
Barnes was a more rounded player than Sibley, and I would argue much more entertaining to watch. But I don't think he had the end product Sibley had.

I had the privilege of watching him for the U18s & U21s prior to him breaking through and that's what I'm referring towards so I'm talking in regards to his peers. It was absolutely no to me that he had 5 goals & 2 assists in his first 11 games. It was also no surprise Wolves were desperate to sign him before he burst on to the scene for £5m plus. He was an elite-level prospect, he shared a pitch with players worth £40m+ now and looked every inch as good. He was a midfielder who got involved in every level could drag a team by their coattails and his career should've been vastly, vastly different. The more I think about it and what he was, to the point we've arrived to, makes me feel a bit sick. Whittaker and Archie Brown got out at the right time - both were good prospects, Brown in particular, but neither were remotely close to Sibley IMO.
Huddlestone, Hughes & Barnes I only got to see at a first-team level so unfair comparison.

Been told Sibley is looking unlikely, apparently wants a pay rise. Heard Rotherham is where he could be off to

I try not to let what's happened since he left Derby have an impact on my memories of Rooney's time at Derby.
I remember feeling very proud of being a Derby fan during that season that we were relegated and was there at Moore Farm when Rooney led the players to address us fans.
I've got nothing but happy memories of Wayne Rooney as Derby manager which is odd given we were relegated!

Cashin is not leaving this summer and defiantly not to Forest.

I played padel with Ben Osborn last night and he assured me that he's desperate to play for Derby and can't wait to get himself 'in the building'.

He's currently at the Barcelo in Corralejo, Chelsea can't be paying him much - I've been there a couple of times!

InstaRam reacted to Norman in Academy thread 23/24
What a job the academy staff have done to keep us performing at such high levels, despite being torn apart over the last 3 or 4 seasons.
I know Paul Warne and his management team have done a great job, but I think its being matched by the academy management team.
Clowse must be a very happy boy.

Steve McLaren deserves more respect for how good of a job he did in 2013/14. He quickly turned a promising but inconsistent team into an absolute force. Denied promotion by a freak of a game.

Manchester City are just boring.
The players are like machines. They function well but I don't want to watch them.
