The whole team. Since we scored, as soon as Denmark have the ball, our most advanced player is Kane, as he should be, but he’s 30 yards away from our own goal line.

And how many times Tippier and/or Foden have been in oceans of space so we play a 2yard pass sideways or backwards.

Foden has effectively said “stuff this” and moved more towards the number 10 role and is way better, and now the only threat. Watch him get subbed off!

We have seen that so often with England over many years.

Problem is, if we win at this walking pace, then it’s job done, and it’s all part of the plan. And we haven’t over exerted ourselves. And will still have lots of energy for the knockouts. We’ll win this 2-1, then we’ll have a dead rubber for the next one, we might even lose it, and that’s okay, the excuse is that we were resting players.

the problem is that he’s managed to get through to finals and semi finals playing like this. But then you need him to say, okay, we’ve done the absolute minimum to get here, now it’s time to turn it on. Now it’s time to expend some of that energy we’ve been saving. But by then it’s too late, and we’ve forgotten how.

What did I say? Is Foden the new Sibley? 🤪

So far this is a repeat of 2006 and it's a clear confidence issue and Southgate trying to appease everyone but it doesn't matter who's to blame if we want to salvage this tournament we need the players to have it out with each other after this. None of the senior players baring maybe Stones and Pickford have led by example. If the result is that the players want the lineup/formation to be dramatically different and players left out and in a huff so be it but this has to come from the players.

The players need to have it out with someone but that someone is Southgate.
