Saving our better players for games that matter.

We've not run enough apparently? RD was telling us how they'd been given the stats on how some players ran lots and lots in the Barnsley game. But they thought not this match, but that was earlyish on. We need to run more?

Mad concept, but maybe our old players who legs have questionably gone anyway can’t really hack the heavy running workload when there’s 2 games every week and a little more rotation would have been sensible.

We perhaps need Warne to figure out that if the team run lots 3 days prior, then it's more likely than not that they won't be able to run as much today.....

A simplistic analysis maybe, but the obvious answers are often the right ones....

Mad concept, outplay them at football. I think of all the ex-Derby players that wouldn't have gotten into a Warne squad and I'm thinking who is right here...

I don’t think that’s the case, surely we’d at least be able to start the game with energy and then run out?

Think we’re just inconsistent

We have players who will not offer up the discretionary hard running effort in every game.  They will put it in when they are put under pressure and there is fan unrest, but invariably we win those games, the pressure is off for the next game, and they revert to type. This could explain the inconsistency. Our midfield is pretty much made up of these types.

An Arteta, Guardiola, Clough have the ability to squeeze the juice in every game, and typically are good at recruiting the type of player that looks after themselves and will run hard because they want to

why does our entire game hinge on running round a lot though...
