Having heard Warne say yesterday, that if Waghorn accepts the deal he would expect it to be completed in the next 6 or 7 hours, I'd imagine that the more time that passes, the less likely it is to happen.

This my worry. Why would we wait ages if its been signed to announce the deal?

Ordinarily yes, but this close to the season, I think that an announcement would be pretty much instantaneous due to the match tomorrow

But if he's signed and registered to play, what difference does it make as to what time they announce it today, if at all?

Is this itk or merely ur speculative opinion

genuine question

Would say ITK haha. Blackpool offered more money and didn’t train today. This has come from a youth player at the club.

It would be a right kick in the teeth if we wasted time with Waghorn, giving him minutes in friendly games for him then to sign for a rival team.

It would certainly bring into question Paul Warnes 'pull' if a player who has previously played for Derby, lives near Derby and has been training with Derby for 3 weeks goes and signs for a club 2 hours up the road 😆

Unless the salary that we was offering was well below others.

Not really. Disappointing - yes but Warne said in an interview a few days ago that Waggy was welcome to train but if he was offered something elsewhere then he would go with Warne's good wishes.

Maybe Blackpool have offered a two year deal ?

What if they are offering him more money and a longer contract? Isn’t he entitled to take that into consideration?

I don’t know whether they are or not but could see why Waghorn might consider that option. We’ll know soon enough either way.

If they're offering double the contact length and double the wages, this could be his last pay cheque so for that you couldn't knock him.
