Thought you might 😂 , nice of you to fly in and give me the old superior intellect routine on the topic of saving the planet though 👍, you do know pigeons can fly under they’re own steam though don’t you

And the pigeon has knocked over the board and declared itself the winner. Congratulations.

The best bit is, I'm not even involved in this discussion, but you feel the need to tell me I'm wrong anyway. Knocked the board over and declared yourself the winner - and I wasn't even playing.

Highgate reply to me

Obviously I haven't conducted any research myself but I did send you 5 links that I considered relevant. The evidence you requested is within those.  Just take the first link for example, click on Every breath we take: the lifelong impact of air pollution  just a few lines down from the top of the page.  There's a report there with more than 120 pages of evidence there for you to get started with.  I hope the Royal College of Physicians' have more luck persuading you about the dangers of Air Pollution than I do. 😄

your sarky jump in

Have you got anything by a bloke on YouTube instead?

If we really do want to Just Stop Oil, we'd need to introduce some sort of basic income scheme, to replace the wages of those hundreds of thousands employed by the industry, probably have to triple lock such an income against inflation etc, while we transition.

Or employ them in green industries like insulating homes, installing solar, harvesting Boycies wind

Very disruptive. What about the ordinary working people getting to work, people trying to get to hospitals, parents getting their children to school, hold ups for emergency services. So thoughtless. I hope someone gets arrested!

One of the twitter comments.

"Isn't it also the effect of not clearing drains, upgrading waterways, concreting over gardens, acres of car parks, no run offs, no flood plains, stripping the land of vegetation....the list goes on"

Where I live South Derby there's a new Government Green estate being built with a total of 2900 houses over a 10 year period, Roads, A new Junction from the A50, A school, Doctors Surgery et al, All being built on land that were farmers fields.

The roads are now full of pot holes as traffic has doubled/trebled, The worst it's been in the 6 years I've lived here, Lorries use these roads for deliveries, In the Summer time there's the constant dust on windows and cars from said deliveries.

It'll not be long before this area comes under attack from extreme weather, The promised infrastructure will only materialise when the Government puts their hand in it's pockets...I'll not hold my breath 🙄

Middle class...hhhmmm.

The promise of housing...£350k/£400k with postage stamp back gardens, All have tarmac/block pave drives, Where we once had somewhere to walk along the canal is now/will be full of housing stock, Not social housing but housing for those that can afford it, The social housing will come at a cost later towards the end of the build.

Land that was a flood plain that water would lay there until it drained, Water will now have to go into a drain system that won't be able to cope.

Water doesn't discriminate, It'll fall where it wants, We the human build where we can and stick 2 fingers up to those who've bought.
