Controversial opinion but apart from that first run of games, what has Sibley actually done for us?

This

hes just not as good as so many think he is

How many kids have gone past him this year in terms of gaining a regular first team spot

Once again the lack of a goalscorer is there for all to see. If we had a decent one, I firmly believe we would have stayed up. But you don't win away games without one. The sad part is that even if we managed to scrape a few away wins, we would have got out of this mess. The away form has ben woeful. For all the good stuff at home, the coaching staff, despite all the limitations have to take responsability for the dire stuff away from home.

Nothing wrong with Sibley,he needs game time that's all...the problem was Romney deciding to play him,an attacking midfielder,at left back when we are chasing a goal... madness

We’ve not been battered in many of those games. Most of them we’ve been in it, and the result could have easily gone the other way. Today is the same.

That’s like losing 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 in a tennis match and saying a player was in it and it could have easily gone the other way with a few points here and there. Truth is 10 consecutive away defeats in a league where most teams are matched is absolutely shocking.

No doubt we have underperformed away, likewise we have overperformed at home. No blame on Rooney or the staff.

Back in Feb? And that gives him cult legend status from our fan base?

That wasn’t the question you asked. He doesn’t deserve cult status you’re right, just as he doesn’t deserve to be singled out for criticism either, for me at least.
In a season where we’ve been up against it as a club, any and all of the players have contributed at times in a valiant effort to beat the odds.
