I think we can feel hard done by to be behind here. England have been the better side. It was a great strike but France have just counter attacked us. We need to be more inventive and imaginative in the second half to unlock the door.

As the decision happened outside the box, VAR couldn’t then instruct to award a free-kick. It was play on.

Saka is either being fouled all over the shop or he is going down too softly.

The ref isn’t giving anything.

England need to get more physical.

The ref couldn't wait to stop the game when hernandez went down at the end, yet let the game run when Saka was down after being fouled in the run up to their goal.

 

I don't mind officials letting 'old style' contact go, as long as it's the same for both sides. Clearly that wasn't the case throughout the first half

Come on they've been hacking us down all over the park and the referee hasn't done anything. As soon as one of the French go down the game is stopped for two minutes.

They should have gone back for it, otherwise what's the point of having it when it started a move that led to the goal?
