Four pages only........what’s going on, is this a new tactic like our revolutionary corners? Be 20 pages long any other year?

The calm before the storm?

This isn't a normal year. No game is more about the fans than the local Derby and without us I feel it loses almost everything. We can't pretend it's normal. Perhaps the sadness of that makes people reluctant to post much?

The majority of people on the forum would probably be going to the game 'normally' and excitedly making preparations for the evening.

Nice as it is just flicking the tv on at 7 45, it doesn't stir the match day interest like heading to the ground and riding the gauntlet.

Plus there is possibly a little complacency because we aren't in with a chance of getting into the play offs and we are relatively free of relegation fears for the moment...maybe feels almost like a free hit after the another night. Definitely won't hurt as much if we lose tonight as it would normally.

Fair enough but it’s sport which has no doubt saved many, no matter how bad we were (past tense??). When we had no football it was far worse. Having something to look forward to should be celebrated, whilst no fans has taken some getting used to, once the game kicks off I’m totally engaged! But as @AbuDerbyDave suggests our vastly improved form is almost boring ?

Clever strategy from the fans.

if we lose we can claim we weren’t fussed and that it was just another irrelevance in an already irrelevant season. If we win, then we can pile in and give them some proper grief.

They know it.. We know it. Tonight there is a solid chance the trophy returns to its rightful owners.

COME ON YOU RAMS

Both teams have had similar seasons, albeit ours with a little more off the field nonsense.

Either team will feel like they're playing a weaker side, because both teams have by-and-large been flat out bad to inconsistent for the majority of the season. Unfortunately, like us, they've significantly picked up over the past few weeks too.

It's arguably the hardest game between the two sides to since we both entered the Championship in what seems like a million years ago. No team can claim to be dominant. For all our good results recently, we got smacked in the mouth by Rotherham.

We are two points behind them with a game in hand. I can honestly say no game has ever been so close to the famous Spiderman GIF:

The faux outrage from Forest fans on Rooney calling them 'Notts' is bordering a genuine mental health prognosis. Never seen anything like it. Grown men crying about being called Notts rather than Nottingham...

Redraw the city lines to cover West Bridgford and see if they still want to be called Nottingham Forest when the value of their house has dropped by a third!

As long as it doesn't affect anything south of West Bridgford then I'm all for it ?

  • We've won our last 4 home games.
  • They've won 3 of their last 4 away.
  • Both in very good form
  • Both teams in the bottom 6 for goals scored
  • Both teams in the top 6 (as in lowest number) for goals conceded

Head says nailed on 0-0

Heart hasn't decided yet.

Yes indeed. A straight line prediction would say 0-0 written all over it. However, 1 lapse, and it's a goal and then the game opens up. I for once actually fancy us to score from a corner or a free-kick. Maybe CKR, maybe Waggers.

Cardiff is the free hit but we must not lose this one.
