Everything but the goal. How many times have we said that this season? The finishing just hasn’t been good enough. It’s no wonder we’ve not scored enough goals when we’re missing guilt edged chances like we have here first half. We simply HAD to make our dominance pay. Wednesday won’t continue being that bad, as well saw at the end of the half. As we have done so many times this season, we will pay for those missed chances sadly. For 30 mins we were a couple of levels above them, if we can put another spell together like that after a ret at half time we should bury these. Orphanram Posted January 1, 2021 Share Posted January 1, 2021 I was a Cocu in but the rerun of the debate of he was rubbish/he was unlucky/he didn’t have a clue about the championship/he was a gentlemen and all round good egg who deserved better etc.. it’s all been said on multiple threads, everyone has had their say and it’s getting incredibly boring on the match day thread of people trying to either overtly criticise what’s happening now or do it subtlety based on their feelings for the last manager. Can we not simply just comment on what’s happening now based on what’s in front of us? Enough time had passed whatever side of the fence you were on to move on from Cocu. True, certainly up until Rooney took charge. Since then we have created chances, but not always taken them. Stoke comes to mind where we should have hammered them first half.
