Has anyone seen the news today? My great friend the Abu Derby Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan has met Boris Johnson.
His next stop is Derby to take a look around this magnificent metropolis.
It’s happening folks!

1.Survive on a shoestring....? i dont buy it.... we are being told week after week that we have the best academy in the galaxy pumping out world class kids every couple of weeks, we just sell off a couple every year and pump the money back into the club....some would argue (myself included) that they would much prefer this model of self sufficiency than to get a bunch of dirty money from who knows where..

2.Its big buisness, not the local craft honey making bearded dude selling 5 jars at a local craft fair every week.

3.Journalists.......they have never been known just to make stuff up have they..?

Lampard.... who is he? never heard of the fellow...! ha ha

I agree on most of your points. The club definitely doesn't have to tell us anything and I don't know why everyone on here thinks the details of a multi million pound deal should be broadcast for everyone to see.

Regarding the academy though we can't sell youth products for tens of millions every year - it isn't going to happen. We've broken even on transfers most years since Paul Clement anyway, but we we're down to bare bones now and still lose money on wages. I'm sure Mel isn't about to go bankrupt, but he can't fund it to the extent he has been doing.

With his pointy hat and white robe, thank god it's the wrong man!

Don’t think so.
Admittedly, there are several bins - I’ve got two: a blue and a brown one.

Interesting!

We have black and blue... although after Christmas, that will change to blue and black, as they miss a week!
We used to have a brown as well, but we only have plants in pots now.  It's all patterned concrete, plastic lawn, and wooden fence, so no need for a brown bin any more.

PS:
I lied... It's not interesting at all... but it sure as hell livens this thread up!  ?

... Oh... Thursday's for us, before you ask!

My bins are out now as we speak.
Ready for pick up tomorrow.

Wayne is the manager of Derby County. He is loving it. He has got what he wants and is planning to make a really good job of it. Crikey how much must he have learnt from Fergie, Phelan, Kidd and Schteve at United. He laid a marker down by bringing on Macdonald and Whitaker last night. The door is open. He must have learnt from Fergie how to bring young players through. Discipline last night was the key and it proves that the players are responding to Wayne. I for one am excited at who he may bring in at Xmas.

He’s planning on bringing in Dorothy, 81 and Beryl, 78 and his specialist personal masseuses. #ITK

Had my tickets refunded today. Does that mean we’re close to a takeover because we’ve had an influx of wonga

Possibly.  It could as well mean that Mel has been told by the new owner to be that it's his problem, or for those pessimistically inclined, that the deal is off.

More like an influx from Wonga?
