Sheikh n Bake
Just now, SaintRam said: ? In seriousness we should open the stadium to just Barrow's allotment of fans - I'm sure they'd be able to socially distance around the ground. I worry it'll be a bit pre-season friendly-y as it is. Is this fixture still planned for the 5 Sep? I reckon we will field a pretty strong team and use it as our final warm up game.
Big Trav
Barrow play really good football. They won’t be pushovers. Their nickname is barriwcelona
BarrowRam
Can’t believe Derby are playing my home town club. Just a shame the stadium will be empty for the game.

Ghost of Clough
Used as a final warm-up game or play the kids like we did in the cups last year? I think Cocu will go for the second option
Millenniumram
No tie will be easy in this first round as it’s taking place before the league season starts. We won’t be at full strength yet, so we’ll have to be very careful and work hard to get the result.
RandomAccessMemory
Nice draw, they're known to play good football, so it should be an interesting match up, and at least it's different, quite tedious when we usually get drawn against the same teams all the time. Topram
Would of been a good draw to open the stadium up and see how it works with a small attendance all distanced
BarrowRam
Shame John Rooney isn’t still at Barrow. Would of been interesting him against Wayne.
Sparkle
If someone can get me a ticket I will attend other than that it currently holds little interest - which is a very sad state of affairs

Jram
Without gate receipts, the trip down to Pride Park will probably bankrupt Barrow

Yeah, last season they had John Rooney playing & ex Ram Ian Evatt managing them. I was talking to Evatt pre lockdown in my local gym (he still lives in Chesterfield where he played for a few years) He has since moved on to Bolton, but was telling me they (Barrow) had a very exciting side who liked to play football. I reckon this tie will be tricky.
RoyMac5
Carabao Cup: Norwich City face Luton Town as Wayne Rooney's Derby host Barrow... ..."Of the opening round ties, Barrow's trip to Pride Park to take on the Phillip Cocu-managed, Rooney-led Rams is the standout fixture." They managed to find their way to teams across the National League. I hope it is televised so they get some additional revenue. It's a romantic tie. They last played each other two months before I was born. Which was very long time ago.

Think he would of been better staying at Holker Street. David Dunn is in charge now.
Carnero
It's a shame that their fans will miss out on an away day at the home of football. Hope it's on telly to give them some decent match receipts.
