Brighton player jumps in two footed, doesn’t get the ball and leaps into the air in agony. VAR overturns a booking for Lundstram and he gets a red. They have to go for 50-50 balls in a responsible way. Ie not in a way that can be seen as serious foul play. Serious foul play is defined in the laws as: 'Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play'.
