Frustrating as Marriott never seems to get those chances and if he did, i think he'd bury them. Bird was great tonight though! Shinnie was off it, id have Knight next game. We were not hopeless playing out from the back we were quite good at it. We had lots of options in midfield but we did have wasteful strikers. This won’t be a popular opinion but in book it quite simply how cocu sets us up. he sets us up not to win and in doing so invites pressure on us worrying more about the opposition than letting us express ourselves cocu stil has a lot to learn about the championship... begs the question what our championship specialist actually brings to the table Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A draw would have been a fairer result but at least an encouraging performance on the whole. Bogle coming on for Davies gave the team better balance, and it’s great to see Whittaker come on and make an impact. Marriott, Martin and Rooney should be on the pitch together. Hamer is poor, very poor. Matt Clarke, I know people rate him, but he frustrates me the amount of times he passes back to the keeper, I saw Rooney lose his rag when Clarke did it with passes in front of him.
