Thing is we signed him and he failed, largely due to bizzare fitness issues with his insoles, and that seemed to scare us away from foreign markets. Shouldn’t let the odd player not working out restrict our scouting range. Hopefully if we sign this lad it’ll signal a return to signings from abroad.

Especially when it often takes time for a player to “acclimatise”. Though im not sure Albentosa ever really  fancied it.

Cant imagine it will be that much when we could agree a contract now for free in the summer

The main difference is getting him NOW by paying fixed transfer fee or getting him for FREE in the summer like you are suggesting.

It's up to Phillip Cocu to decide, whether he thinks he needs him now

I cant see the fee being that high if he was to join now though with him being able to agree to a summer move anyway.  Guess we will see potential amounts quoted soon enough

Says they’re waiting because there’s interest in their other centre half. Can see it now, we wait on this one until 11pm tomorrow, at which point Leicester sign this other centre half so we can’t sign Te Wierik, and then loan out Benkovic to boro, leaving us with no one.

Don't ever think of joining the samaritans Millennium lol ?

Too right bring on Brexit. We don't want any more John Foreginers with their dodgy insoles.

Far from the truth. He told me, via a message, that he really wanted the move to work out and that even when he was sent out on loan he hoped to return.
