Just that this is close to home, she is the MP of my parents and my sister/family And it is genuine - she's not deleted it yet Fair enough although you did say “THE tories” which sort of implies all tories. Even your follow up “start to see Tory MP’s....” is a bit of collective. I can see it’s genuine. The stupid woman has tried to claim the tweet didn’t relate to this. So, she’s either demonstrated a degree of incompetence or insensitivity when it comes to communicating.

As usual, we are only getting one side. Of course she was stupid and should have just blocked him.

Van der MoodHoover
Vast amounts of aid being requested by businesses. The state could end up as de factor owner managers of entire sectors of the economy. The Corbyd-19 is clearly working.....?

In an ideal world every business and individual would be fully supported but I guess it's not that easy.

Given all the EU are closing borders etc, doesn't Covid-19 amount to more or less the same outcome? No free movement etc anywhere. No laws being passed to take back control on. Exports presumably will dial down if people are ill...... So isolation, state intervention......its giving Boris and Jezza just what they both want.....who'd have thunk ? I can see the logic of a loan that might see you through to the other side, but if you're a business that has no income for an unknown length of time, are you really going to want to saddle yourself with more debt when you have no idea when the "other side" arrives, or even what it will look like when it does? Eg mortgage holidays are just that.....a temporary liquidity break which just adds on to the total loan. But presumably the business rates relief idea will be proper forgiveness, not just another loan.

Would you rather they didn't support businesses and simply allowed them to go out of business and/or make people redundant?
