BobbyD Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 All very strange Seemed to work well previously and was very much part of the PP experience - certainly bought in to by all those around us in the East Stand With the pre match music changes, the bizarre volume on the speakers and the changes to the Big Screen highlighted on another thread, it would be fascinating to learn the logic behind all this. metalsheep02 Posted September 10, 2017 Share Posted September 10, 2017 I wanted to revisit this as on Friday it was returned to its more normal place just before kick off and was played at the right tempo, I felt that helped get the atmosphere going at the start of the game. I hope that the club stick with the new (more traditional) schedule for the song. There is almost always a song going on at the back of the South Stand, people further down and across towards the West Stand don't always join in. Heard before a few aren't impressed with it but I downloaded it a good while back, think it's terrific. Compare to many clubs who simply play an old tune. Usually, when players were read out the hoardings and screen showed each player in time but now either the announcer is either way ahead or way behind. I wish we would pick a piece of music (SBW, The Dambusers, Clubbed To Death, Achy Breaky Heart) and stick with it so it belongs to Derby County.
