From DET:

According to Companies House, which holds a register of limited companies in the UK, the company that once owned the iPro brand was called Sports Drinks Limited. But on September 1, Dean Nelson and Nick Lee, insolvency specialists at Derby-based Smith Cooper, were appointed as joint liquidators to Sports Drinks Limited.

At a meeting held on that date, it was agreed that "the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business" - and as result, the firm was wound up.

However, although Sports Drinks Limited is no more, the iPro brand remains very much alive. The iPro Sport website - iprosport.com - is still live and the brand is still active on social media platforms such as Twitter. That's because the firm that now owns the iPro brand is a company called iPro Sport Holdings.

Mr Nelson told the Derby Telegraph: "The rights to the iPro brand name were transferred to another company, iPro Sport Holdings Limited, by the company's directors, prior to my appointment as joint liquidator.

As the club has already stated in its press release, it exercised an option to end the stadium naming rights agreement with Sports Drinks Limited following a strategic review undertaken by the club and recent changes in the ownership structure of iPro's business."

To me it sounds like a bit of a scam to transfer assets to another holding company then call in liquidators on the original one. I wonder how much DCFC are owed?

I certainly don't think they're about to be taken over by Coke, so needed a bigger platform, as was suggested earlier by an ITK poster in his very 1st post!

@ronnieronalde said it was fishy all along, nothing ventured nothing gained I'd say!

From the company's Twitter feed, they're supporting the British handball championships atm, so maybe they've outgrown us?

I think they were tied in with a Company called Duflon. Dodgy as they come me.

You may be right, they used to be one of our customers at work, and the person we used to deal with became an I-Pro director.

I would imagine we've been paid until whenever the name change occurs, otherwise we'd just remove "ipro" immediately due to breach of contract.

I don't care what they call it, I never referred to it as anything else but "the ground"...

It has always been sponsored pride park was a sponsorship deal, then ipro and I have no problems at all with them calling it the durex stadium as long as they are paying for it.....it's soulless anyway.
