Just Eat Rebrand

Our beloved sponsors have had a (slightly psychedelic) rebrand:

Curious as to what this'll mean for our kits. Personally can't see the rainbow geometric shapes meshing well with our black & white kits (unless the club has an especially skilled kit designer...)

EDIT: Actually, just noticed there's a "red text on white" option. PLEASE PLEASE DCFC use that one!

It won't matter at the end of the season as our deal with them expires and Sam Rush will listen to the fans suggestions (moaning) and strike a deal for Dundas Butchers to become our shirt sponsors for next season.  It's not about getting the most money possible in these deals, it's all about having a small, non-obtrusive logo on a shirt, with connections to the local community.  As if clubs outside the Premiership need to maximise all revenue streams...

Does anybody actually use their ordering service?

I was talking to our local Indian restaurant and he was saying to me that JE was good actually bad for his business because the profit margin isn't great anyway and when JE take their cut, there wasn't a lot left. They now have their own ordering online website which is the way most takeaways are going.

I used it once when I got a free voucher that was being given out but found it laborious rather than just calling the takeaway. I can't say I'd use it again.

Couldn't care less really what sponsor is on the shirt so long as the club are benefitting financially. The only possible exceptions would be embarrassing tinpot betting companies trying to make it in the big wide world.

888SPORT, DAFABET, BETWAY, BETEAST (WHO?!! Swansea), 138.COM (WHO??!! Watford), 32 RED and the list goes on. One of the two betting sites I use and I like, Bet365 is on Stoke's shirt but the shirt looks atrocious. Like it's been made for a quid. Probably has.

They have saturated the football shirt sponsor market and despite what I just said above, their designs are appalling and it just looks terrible.  Just a series of ridiculous numbers usually in plain font. Dull as dishwater. I am reasonably sure that I wouldn't buy a shirt with a betting company sponsor on because they're ten a penny nowadays. Actually, should have put this in the annoy thread in 'the pub'. :p

Anything else goes though I guess.

I like the new just eat logo and I like the old one too.

I am ridiculously traditional and stuffy about this (and probably financially wrong ) but I really want a sponsor that has some inspiration or local content.

Please please no betting, payday loan, gang master ( sorry employment agency)

i know .. Let's revive British Rail and have "we're getting there" on our shirts

Many many people use it. It's a very successful service. I sometimes use it if I'm just browsing all the takeaways in the city. Don't always stick to the same one. Or if I'm in a new place ordering takeaway for whatever reason, which is a rarity, it's sometimes been useful.

If you know where you're ordering from, then yeah, give them a ring or go in to them. It's not really supposed to be for ordering from your usual place. It saves the old fashioned drawer full of menus. Just Eat is a just an online drawer full of menus.

I use it weekly.

Every Friday evening neither of us wants to cook. We order in and watch a film with the kids.

I have been quite surprised over the last couple of years by the number of people on this forum that have never heard of it or don't know what it is.

You should all get out less.

Found out about it when I moved over here from Derby, which must be about 8 years ago now.

Only had a handful of problems since then. Prices vary from shop to site, but JE are now starting to "clamp down" on price hikes.. Which is unfair really.

(Side note, have you seen One-Delivery and their prices?! from McDonalds, KFC & Burger King etc)

Seems daft they do this now, knowing that the old branding will be on many Rams shirts.

I realise that JE don't revolve around Derby County, but it seems a bit of a faux pas not to have done this before the start of the season..

With a market valuation of over three and a half BILLION pounds I think this is the understatement of the year on the forum: http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-markets/stocks/summary/company-summary/GB00BKX5CN86GBGBXSTMM.html

It was an incredible sponsorship deal for Sam to have done to havve nabbed a global multimnational technology company - really superb - but their decision making when it comes to branding decisions is on a very different scale.

I've used it once and the food was absolute garbage, and it was late. Like you say, almost all takeaways have their own websites now. Since I'm able to use a search engine and speak to a human if required, I have no need for Just Eat.

I'm nigh on 25 stone and having this logo on my shirt has made me the butt of jokes queuing at the burger van outside the ground. I can't wait till a new sponsor comes along. Knowing my luck it will be Weight watchers.

Maybe avoid queuing up outside for a burger.
