Like you say, almost all takeaways have their own websites now. Since I'm able to use a search engine and speak to a human if required, I have no need for Just Eat. I'm not going to slate the company but i'm like Anon. Never used it and never will. If I want a takeaway I do the same. Quick internet search, give them a bell and get it delivered. Just eat just makes the already extremely easy task of ordering a takeaway just that bit easier (I think ) . Not sure how it's made billions on that basis but that's progress in todays world apparently.
Sith Happens
I have used it a few times, i have had problems a few times were i have ordered early in the evening for say a 8.30pm delivery, i.e if im nipping out for a pint or whatever. On multiple occasions it has been very early, once i wasnt in and when i got back they had called my phone, i took delivery but they had been carrying it around for over an hour, when i asked why it had come over an hour early the response was 'well we try and get them out as quick as possible', to which i said but i specified a time and the response is a shrug of the shoulders. I do make a point of stating not to deliver before the specified time now, calling the takeaway is better but as already said i guess its just easy, can pay on card as dont always have cash around. That isn't a problem with Just Eat. It's the food outlet not reading all the information.

I had the opposite. Just Eat said our takeaway would be ready within 15 minutes but the restaurant was able to show us they didn't get our order for a further 15 minutes. We were left waiting and lost the 20% takeaway discount we could have had if we had contacted the restaurant direct.

I realise that JE don't revolve around Derby County, but it seems a bit of a faux pas not to have done this before the start of the season.. Yup - the timing is quite strange. I guess the Just Eat brand managers don't see DCFC sponsorship as top priority? Unless there's something in our contract that states otherwise, they almost certainly will be phasing this in before end of season. For comparison: Co-op launched a rebrand back in late May. 4 months later and ALL their shopfronts sport the new logo / brand colours.

Please please no betting, payday loan, gang master ( sorry employment agency) i know .. Let's revive British Rail and have "we're getting there" on our shirts Seconded. Wouldn't mind something that complements our kit design for once too.

I also have our favourites saved. 2 clicks, job done.
SaintRam
Used JE for pretty much every non-pizza food order I've made in years and generally it's been great. It helps to have decent knowledge of which restaurants have good food and service before hand though, unless your a review truster. The site doesn't have a lot of control over that, but they do put pressure on places if they get complaints which is more than can happen when dealing with the places directly. As with @eddie I like to avoid talking on the phone, not through deafness but for other reasons so it's been a great resource to have. On the topic of them being our sponsor, I'm with those who don't care what sponsor we have if it's bringing in good revenue. Obviously, it's *nice* to have one that suits the kit, and it's good to avoid companies that may put people off / anger people for non-aesthetic reasons (betting companies etc.) but generally I'm not bothered. If we re-sign them as a sponsor I hope this rebrand does lead to red text on the white shirt though with no box, looks much better.

It happened to us once - curry for me and my good lady after the kids were in bed. Except they brought it about half an hour early, so we sent it away and told them to bring it back at the appointed time on the grounds that a) we weren't ready and b) they had better ways to keep it warm than we did. The bloke was a bit of an arse about it, saying stuff like, 'So you don't want it then?' etc. We didn't order from them again.

Roger_Ramjet
4 pages of replies and does not one person get the irony of a sports club encouraging a facilitator of junk food? Lets go back to the good old days of sponsorship by Benson & Hedges, Rothmans or John Player Special Only one thing worse and that is sponsorship by loan sharks who should be banned as vile opportunist exploiters of human misery and angst, Still I suppose that suits Newcastle United
