Love how we’ve gone from “thankful to have a football club wherever we finish” to “WE SHOULD BE BEATING TEAMS LIKE SHREWSBURY” in 3 weeks.
Never change Derby fans.

Wonder if that will temper some of the more ridiculous comments on here tonight? 3 points off top, only four games gone, lost 1 game, still building a team from scratch… and somehow, the world is ending.

LR should have got some of that magic powder which makes a brand new football team into Man City, 5 games this squad has played together, Cotterills teams just let you have the ball and hit you on the break, Yes we had the lions share of the ball...but people this is not a sprint it'll take time.
There will be more games like this...posters have said "it's some teams Cup Final" when they play us, LR will have to find a way of breaking teams like this down, An away point at Shrewsbury doesn't fill all with enthusiasm but it's a point.
No complaints from me...?

Great away point. Clean sheet. Onwards and upwards. We have a football team to support.! Come on you mighty Rams.

It's an odd argument you're making, in my opinion.
Perfunctory is a good term, and it applies to his performance today.
He did nothing wrong, and executed his limited skill set well, so why not praise him for that?
He played well, whether that's measured against other unavailable players, or against his own benchmark of performances so far for Derby doesn't really matter.
He played well, full stop.

I was thinking that…take a pan and some sausages they’ll be ready by half time. Thought the club were a bit thoughtless for the Hertha Berlin game not using the West stand the East lower was painfully hot. Fortunately high up in the North tomorrow so should be ok.

An excellent summary. I must say I do get a bit puzzled by the reaction every time we concede a goal. It’s like the world has ended every single time.
I understand the desire to analyse what led to the goal itself; who made a mistake, could the keeper have saved it, was it a worldy etc but what I don’t get is the sudden urge to analyse every aspect of the club, management, tactics, gypsy curses etc etc I think I blame Sky and the internet, but not sure why!

I only caught the last 15 minutes but it was a pleasure to listen to calm balanced, informative commentary for a change. I agree Jamie award was also excellent.

Greggs - How the hell did these things get everywhere? The sausage rolls are bog standard mass produced swill. You'd get better from any half decent butchers.

So, in summary, 3 games in.
Won 1 - just - hard fought.
Lost 1 - one of those games where we mostly panned them then got sucker-punched.
Won another, cup game. Another hard fought, but class prevailed.
For saying we barely had a club, let alone a team a month ago, I'll take that thank you very much.
Loving football for football's sake, not money's sake.
I'm loving our club's big reset. It's a bit Roy of the Rovers stuff. Jumpers for goalposts anyone? ?

Really enjoyed Martin Fisher and Jamie Ward on RD commentary - both very intelligent and entertaining football analysts / commentators. Jamie Ward clearly keeps tabs on Derby and is up with all the fans opinions & talking points. Great analysis of Louie Sibley & advocating Sibbo to start V Barnsley.

Frustrated by the result as it was undeserved but encouraged by the performance.
First half we battered them & don't think being 2 or 3 up would have flattered us. We were at them down both flanks, unlike last week the left side saw plenty of action with Roberts, Hourihane & Barkhuizen linking up very well. My only criticism was a lack of bodies in the box at times, which was the reason Mendez-Laing couldn't convert from Charlton keeper's spill from I think Hourihane's shot. Quality from right side was also variable.
Turning point was Collins hitting the post just before halftime. That goes in & we're in a position to control the tempo second half & pick them off. Thought Collins was overall a lot better than last week, held the ball much better & very tenacious.
Second half they had to improve & for the first 15 mins, they were the better side. They pressed us & our passing became sloppy...good call then from Rosenior to change things with Sibley on for Smith. Thereafter we regained our threat but by then Charlton had cottoned on to the long ball in behind our narrow fullback trick, which was pretty much the move for their goal. A quick break after a slip from Hourihane & Wildsmith parries a shot to their lad to finish.
Lots of effort late on to grab an equaliser but have to say the players looked exhausted. Managed a couple of half chances but some overly intricate build up play at times (especially to generate space for a cross). The big chance was Knight's header...all of us at top of the stand thought it was in & he should really have scored.
Overall, happy with performance but we have to be more clinical when we're in charge of games. To say its a new team though, the level of cohesion at times is impressive. We go again. COYR

Picking my ST up this safto. Bus pass arrived a couple of days ago! Can't wait for Saturday. An old git still acting like a 20 yr old. Told missus that I won't be speaking to her Saturday evening as won't have a voice left after the match. Come on fellow rams lets get PP rocking again. Hope that poet will be there before the match. He certainly stirs me up. UTR!

That turn by Deano and chipped cross was fantastic. Bettered only by Goddard’s chip over Neville Southall by Goddard. That was a really good team, best finish since ‘76 and remains so. Shame Maxwell got bored and we didn’t invest that summer or, as scary as it might seem, we could have challenging for the title. I had that season on VHS and watched it time and time again. Oh, and blue shorts ?.

This…..Saunders and Goddard best pairing I’ve had the pleasure of seeing, lasted all too briefly sadly with Goddard wanting to move back to London. I remember Saunders debut from the top tier of the Ozzie end ?what a way to announce yourself how we could do with that pairing now!
