Always interviews well seeming to be very content with a role encouraging and mentoring younger players and getting the occasional game time! Gives 100% every time and clearly loves his football and being at Derby.
Derbys gain is Englands loss ?.

Hey, I wasn't intending to criticise the Steargoat at all. It was really intended to highlight that Warne has finally started to use him.
I think he's been a great squad man in his time here.

Superb example of a professional footballer. Stearman is precisely the sort of character you need in the dressing room. Doesn’t spit his dummy out when younger players get selected over him; instead puts the work in to help them progress. Brilliant guy.

Norman Stanley Fletcher, you have pleaded guilty to the charges brought by these Administrators, and it is now my duty to pass sentence. You are an habitual criminal, who accepts arrest as an occupational hazard, and presumably accepts imprisonment in the same casual manner. I therefore feel constrained to commit you to the maximum term allowed for these offences: you will only be allowed to communicate with @RoyMac5for the next five years.

Wildsmith 7.5 Caught crosses comfortably, plus a perfectly performed punch. Great goalie.
    Rooney 7 Stout & staunch.
    Stearman 6 Tight organisation
Forsyth 7.5 In a rich vein of form. Backwards & forwards almost got on the end of 2 which flashed just wide. Very fond of this Legend.
Cashin 7 Clean sheet. Keystone of a tight defence.
    Smith 7 Tight perpetual motion
Thompson 7 His head is up again after Tuesday - Got around like a tug boat on the sea and battled bravely against tough midfield opponents
Barkhuizen 6.5 Looked fresh & feisty
    Bird ? 7 Tireless work
Hourihane 7 Mobility & some classy passing
Sibley 6.5 Grinded away playing LWB
McGoldrick 8 MOTM Another top shelf display of quick nimble football and almost scored when he crashed a shot off the bar
    Osula 6 Late lively addition
Collins 7 Provded muscled presence & glanced an early header wide
Dobbin 6 Late lively addition #2
We shaded a tight contest. Most likely to score. Warney has made us harder to beat. The Team have remained consistent over 5 matches & I’m proud of the efforts they have put in. A deserved 3 day rest incoming.

What does “make it” look like?

At 21 years old Sibley has made 67 championship appearances for the club, 18 in league one, 9 in the EFL cup and 6 in the FA Cup…which I make to be 100 first team appearances for the club.
A footballers job is to play a part in games of football, which is a team sport, he has done so 100 times at senior level by the age 21 and a fair few games at youth levels too.

I think there’s been an unrealistic expectation since Sibley’s early appearances that he should be some sort of wonderkid for the club who single handedly carries the team to glory. His career has coincided with a turbulent time in the clubs history, we’re now coming out of that into (hopefully) a period of stability on and off the pitch. He’s playing games week in week out for the first time in ages, currently learning to play in a new position, and his manager thinks he’s doing a good job for the team, a team that with Sibley’s contribution is unbeaten in 8 games in all competitions.
I don’t get the need to try and put the bloke down any more than the need to put unrealistic expectations on him, he’s not the messiah, he’s a footballer playing alright for Derby County, that’ll do for me in this moment. ??‍♂️

I'm quite surprised about the negativity on here (yes, I know).
I really enjoyed the game, two good sides in this league giving it a go. Other than a period in the second half when they got on top of us for a bit, we more than matched them and created all the best chances.
We're showing improved resilience and delighted to see some yellow cards for breaking up attacks - about time we got a bit more streetwise in that department.
Shout out for Thompson, who I thought did very well on his first start of the season, and the three centre backs. And of course McGoldrick, who was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch in terms of quality. Not sure why Sky didn't give him PoM.
After a very hectic schedule and two more injuries to important players, this was a really good point and a solid away performance. Good effort!

Couldnt travel up tonight but really enjoyed that.  Seemed good vibe between the fans. Loved interviews at the end. BBC team seemed to enjoy it also and how match was played plus supportive of what the club is trying to do. Real change for us to not be hated all match.
Pleased for team and some great goals. Think Warne's approach probably so different from cocu, rooney and rosenior  who all seemed men of few words but seems as if Warne bonding with players now to me from reactions on pitch. Stearman also came across well. All did us proud tonight

Given how small and stretched the squad is and given we lost 6-0 on our last visit, that’s a very creditable performance.
We have to take encouragement. Any version of Liverpool at Anfield should beat a top half League 1 side in 90 minutes.
The fact they didn’t speaks volumes.
A win v MK Dons and things are looking up.

Whether we like it or not, we are still recovering from life saving surgery, and are now officially a "Minnow".
Not sure what some folk were expecting from tonight, but I for one am rather chuffed with where we are at this stage in our recovery, and equally so at HT in this particular game.

Full credit to Torquay. They gave it everything, made it a really hard afternoon for us, and got the result they very much deserved.
They took every element - the small ground, the deteriorating pitch with slippery conditions, the wet and windy weather, the crowd, the officials’ decisions - bottled it up and used it as a leveller.
This was a classic example of why we love cup football. It’s not the game to dissect and ponder over or indeed to use as a stick to beat Warne with.
Those conditions would have been difficult for many a bigger team looking to avoid an upset.
Previous Derby teams would have lost that kind of game. It was the perfect recipe for an upset, whether you play possession football or otherwise.
To my mind, win the replay and what’s the fuss?
