Rooney leaves and we also lose a manager that can attract a player when the time comes. He’s got the current crop giving him everything. Hope he stays

Well I am so pround young rams they stood up and be counted today and such a massive step up in class and Luke plang he was there just to tap in that shot of joswick today he had a descent game and playing in right position. But some of the hit and move football was fanstic to watch but they also showed that can do dirty side of football well.
And with 7 first team players down with cov 19 but we manage to get the win and keeps our hopes alive to stay up.
Young players will get massive experance from the game that they will learn from but all in all it was a good performance in my eyes.
And now to blackpool fans they joined our fight against efl and they were in good voice I hope they make play offs by stopping forest and boro in there tracks and upset gibson at the same time.
Also blackpool fans who were on here please feel free make comments about the game.
Your more than welcome back at pp any time.

    Stop the thread.
21st October 1961 - Mick Hopkinson against Liverpool in a 2-0 win for the Rams.
I was in the 'boys enclosure' it was from fully 60 /90 yards (well it seemed like it from what I can remember ?)
Somewhat spookily on googling to find the date I see that Anton Rippon wrote an article for the DET in 2018 that is spot on and it seems that he too was in the boys enclosure !!

That is what football is all about! The genuine fans really do feel for other clubs supporters predicament. Forget the odd tossers who will always see the bad and never the good. Really impressed by this and hope Blackpool can achieve their ambitions. Up the Rams!

I will crowdfund it if Wycombe get a penny from us. It would then be a dead cert that we get money from qpr or villa if that is the precedent.

of course we can't change the past but for anyone to make excuses for Mel is beyond belief it really is!!
Our Football club is in deep trouble and owes millions to HMRC ( No Excuses ) and yet some see that Mel is not totally to blame !!! it beggars belief!!  We seriously might not even have a football club soon and although I agree ranting and raving will cure nothing I cannot and will not forgive MM of how he's treated this football club...Covid is not an excuse ...I don't see other clubs in a total embarrasing mess like us and I don't see other clubs making a complete hash of it regarding amortisation etc etc ...its a shambles full stop and starts and finishes with the head man who generously  walked away.l...yeah thanks Mel.....lol..........The worst thing that ever happened to our club was the day MM gained control....we were not far away before he intervened and have gone backwards since and now face liquidation if we dont find 30m owed in taxes!!! I'll go further to say had we been run correctly we might be a lot nearer the prem than league1 if we have a football club to actually play in the 3rd tier ......shambles!!! and a disgrace!!

Didn't have anything to do, really. Handling was good.
Some short passes out from back a bit worrying, but same as Roos in that respect. They are being coached to do it, we have to put up with it.
Kicking didn’t really find anyone, either. Who is there to find?

We started that game really well, got a goal ahead, then Baldock had to go off and I think for the next hour we missed his mobility.
I think we've actually missed Baldock and Buchanan more than we probably thought would be the case, because their replacements are struggling for form.

Before this season started, before any deductions were implemented, we were nailed on to finish dead last by both bookies and fans alike. So I genuinely find it bizzare that some of our fans consistently criticise Rooney for not doing better when if it wasn't for the points deduction we'd be a few places out of the relegation zone. The fact of the matter is our squad is appalling and even without the -21 points staying up would have been an achievement. We don't have a single CB under the age of 34 nor do we have a reliable and consistent goalkeeper. We have two senior strikers, one is permanently injured and the other is a 35 year old struggling to find match fitness after another injury. Our midfield has 1 player who can reliably pass in Bielik and he's recovering from his 2nd ACL in 2 years.
We do have some good players in the first team and the academy lads who have done well to make up for some of the squads deficiencies but there's only so much that can be expected of them. The squad has had some serious problem areas for a few seasons now and it seems very unfair to expect Rooney to fix them using teenagers from the academy while having no access to the transfer market. I understand being upset at the performance, especially when the first half was as dire as it was today. However I don't understand consistently having a pop at a manager for not achieving the impossible while having one arm tied behind his back in his first managerial role.

I know we’re down already but it’s disappointing to see the poor performances creeping back in.
I thought we played some good stuff earlier in the season but we’ve barely created any chances on the road since that draw at Preston.

This club got through most dark days as losing family members I missed dearly and being on pain 24 hours 7days a week and 365 days a year.
But one thing always been there for me apart from my mum who is having hard time right now supporting her best I can.

Maybe Rishi Sunak is not aware but i'll guarantee there will be a Senior HMRC advisor aware or even at the table with Admin, Football is seen as an anathema to HMRC where time after time they put in winding up orders of football clubs only for a judge to throw it out.
I'm confident we'll be sold, HMRC will accept a deal, And DCFC will move on...albeit in League 1.

Whether or not the Daily Mail are rehashing or its a fresh perspective,  I dont mind the idea being pushed in the press that ..IF.. HMRC won't take a small % of what they are owed then they may end up getting a whole heap of nothing, and set in motion for them a lot of aggro, legal challenge, bad press...
If I were the administrators or a potential buyer then that angle would be something I'd be happy to see swirling in the press. The HMRC have to believe they could overplay their hand if they go hardball with us?
Big week for the administrators...so far they have talked a good game, ran up a fair old bill and negotiated a pretty unimpressive points deduction.  All looks OK if we get a buyer and can move forward quickly but if not then their reputations are going to quickly go off a cliff!!
