Totally lost me by your comment. I don't have any privy information so not even sure why you've made that aspersion, my observation was based purely on the comments I've read on the Keogh forum.
If Morris and other posters can't see that the decision to single out one person for one level of discipline whilst 2 others got away with far lighter sanctions was uneven, inconsistent and probably unfair - which has been supported in the final outcome - then that's something I can't help them with.  Regardless of privy knowledge.

The transfer window being open for us is like someone opening a shop selling crystal champagne in Derby, we will look enviously from the outside as those with money go about their business making their expensive purchases, but in the knowledge we will be going home with two bottles of lambrusco that we can barely afford.

Off topic really so my post might get removed, but i have no issue with any of them being open. I dont even agree with banning adverts, we are an intelligent species who have the capacity to make choices about what we consume no matter who tries to sell them to us.

Exactly this. RamsTrust were long suggesting to move from a point of influence to eventual ownership (they might have moved from this now, but that was their desire back in the day and one of the key reasons I stopped being aligned to them). I don't think you can have it both ways - on one hand we deride Mel for running the club with his heart more than his head then we suggest that somehow we let the fans do it. I don't see how it could ever get to a place where it would be anything more than Championship Manager in real life and while I know it has been done elsewhere it just doesn't feel like a stable model for success for me.

VAR isnt the problem despite my dislike for it, its those using it.
If a decision takes minutes to arrive at its clearly being used wrong, no problem with it being used for offside, but have it so you only call it offside if you can tell visually, no stupid lines being drawn that still dont give you 100% confidence.
I think a time limit should apply for when the ref views the screen, 30 seconds, if its not obvious in that space of time then leave it.

Off to the isle of wight for a week next Saturday, so i know i could have looked foolish with the play off final being the following saturday, but i dont know, call it gut instinct but i just couldnt see us making it this season.

they show plenty of rugby and cricket, I'd rather watch women's football than either of those two sports

I may be misunderstanding but i have always had the feeling if it wasnt for the restraints of FFP/P&s Mel would continue to fund and actively still be trying to secure promotion.
Its the shackles the EFL have implemented in an attempt to protect clubs that are actually causing damage, and potentially putting clubs at risk, not because owners dont have the funds, but because they wont let the owners spend it.
Do the EFL actually want clubs to go out of business? It actually seems that way with the rules they have in place. They are very poor custodians of the football league and really need to take a step back and decide what it is they are trying to do.
When it comes down to appealing over the way something is written on paper then for me it shows they do no have the best interests of the game in mind.

I dont like it no, never been in favour, but believe it could be used better than it is today.
It looks like they are trying to get every decision perfectly correct which was never the intention as far as im aware, it was for clear and obvious errors.
I think if red cards etc were prevented rather than having the have them rescinded a few days later, then that would be a good thing.
