I would say some form of statement would be welcome, i.e. are we in breach of P&S or not. If the accounts have been submitted then we will know if that's the case or not. I think it would be just be good etiquette from the club as fans are obviously invested in knowing.
Although, the way the club have been recently, it's almost as though the fans are a burden put upon the club as they want ridiculous things like... open lines of communication, season tickets and the ticket office open.

I was just thinking that we could do with another keeper, funnily. You're tinpot if you have more strikers than goalkeepers.

Isn’t this almost the exact situation we found ourselves in? I mean, we even had the EFL sign them off and then come back years later and want them redone.
They even had press release stating they were disappointed they couldn’t retrospectively give us a points deduction and relegate us.
    The EFL are completely cowboys.

Garner looked good against us last season, but this is (again) a player in a position where we have plenty of cover. I'd like to see us be a bit more pragmatic with the players we need. I doubt we have a surplus of funds, even if we get out of the embargo, so we should really focus on defense, attacking midfielders (wide) and a striker.
A player like Garner, as accomplished as he may be, would be an expense to come in and compete with Shinnie, Knight, Bielik (when fit), Bird and Watson. I'm not even saying he's not as good as them, just that we have far more pressing issues before we try and strengthen an area that should be last on our list.
No doubt we went in for him, but not upset it didn't come off.

Important line, that, especially when comparing a second division side with the Champions of England.

Relegated clubs don't only benefit from a £50m+ head start over everyone else in the league, but they can also make bigger losses over the 3 year rolling period. For example, Fulham who got promoted and came down, can make £61m loss over the three year period, whereas we (and others) can only make £35m loss. Sheffield United can make an £83m loss over the last three years.
However, it's clearly our amortisation policy that is giving us an advantage that's clearly making it difficult for the likes of Fulham to compete with us.

I can’t imagine Gibson would attend the game on Saturday, but if he does then he should be subsequently ‘leg-and-winged’ straight in the Derwent.

Jagielka looked a class above in the preseason games and showed it again today. He’s getting on a bit, but he still looks very comfortable at this level. We have to be careful with him, but he still looks agile enough and doesn’t look at all slow. I think he can be an inspired signing, providing we don’t lose him in January.

Middlesbrough, like many Warnock sides throughout their history, are so accomplished out of possession that it's likely to look we're going to be all over them. 39.6% average possession in their games so far this season, 67.7% pass accuracy which points to hopeful balls.
Neil Warnock will be desperate to get one over on Wayne Rooney after the rookie manager played him at his own game last season, going 4-4-2, allowing Boro the ball and coming away with a 2-1 win. I would imagine that we will have the ball this time round, possibly to our own detriment. I think I would enjoy a win over Boro just as much as one over Forest. I wouldn't be surprised to see two draws in the next home games.

My only caveat is that would mean a third successive start in a week for Curtis Davies and who knows what condition some of the other players are in.
I'd personally keep rotating as much as we need to in order to avoid a heavy workload on players considering the depth of the team. In an ideal world, I'd love to see the same team again - I just don't know if that's possible.

The atmosphere this season is eerily similar to the 07-08 season.
The lack of expectation in that sense has created something fantastic. It feels like a us-against-them mentality and the fans (at least the ones that turn up) are all in.
If we could get Pride Park back to attendances north of 20,000 whilst picking up some more unexpected wins AND a takeover. What a party atmosphere we could have all season.

The first time in a long time that I've actually bet on Derby to win. The odds are too good value. If we win then I'll keep it up until we go up as Champions.
