I love the way the "He had to play Rooney" is recycled as fact based on no fact whatsoever..its a shame people cant just get behind the manager and the team and appreciate how difficult the job is right now...anyone really believing cocu had it more difficult just has anti Rooney blinkers glued to their heads...we all know that we are playing far better this season than last, and in dire circumstances..lets see how it pans out..ive set a target for us to survive this season - thats all..if we do that without the ownership situation changing he will have pulled off a minor miracle..of course we will lose games, probably runs of games but if they can keep us out of the bottom 3 all is good in the world..

You get to your seat and remove your mask.
Then thousands of people surround you and shout, sing and cheer ( unless you're in the West stand )
What's the point in wearing the mask in the first place?

That was a proper backs to the wall performance.
Davies and Jags may be the oldest central defenders in the world, but we couldn't have done that without them.
Special mention must go to Roos who was my man of the match. I never thought he would be able to withstand that amount of pressure.

His net worth is $170million, approx £125million, so yes he could buy it but with all the criticism he has received on here, why would he?

In our situation I'm amazed at the quality of the players he had lined up, some of who have signed.

I never thought i would say this but i feel sorry for Rooney, i just wonder how many false promises he has been given as to strengthening the squad, he has quoted Several times saying that things are progressing and he should be able to bring in players in the next few days etc. Well here he is,the final day of the transfer window and he is having to sit on his hands seeing players he wanted signing for other clubs. Belief and enthusiasm only lasts so long before you think what's the point.

He's a generous bloke, £1.2m for a robotic surgeon to Derby Hospital that helps the city, saved lives and pumped millions into the football club.
People can dissect his running of the club and they will, but honestly having talked to him on many occasions, he's a decent guy that does care.
I would receive calls just to check up how I was doing during my bad days with anxiety. Was hard to read that he was going through his own health issues.
I'll get hammered for this post but I'm gutted for the guy with how this is ending. Always will.
Won't ever feel comfortable reading people laying into him as a man, but accept that others haven't been as lucky I have to have been able to see that side of him.

I sent an email to the ticket office at 8am friday morning, Twenty minutes ago I got an email response to my ticketing query.

Now admittedly it was an "Automated response" confirming that they had received my email....

and admittedly i did email the ticket office LAST friday. And its taken a week for them to process the automated response.

Lets just hope i havent missed out on forest tickets.....

In which case the punishment is already set out in the rules and should be administered as such. The same should also apply to Reading who have lost about 95 million in in the last three seasons. My issue is not with the punishments, it's with the inconsistent way in which clubs are treated. We have had two years of this crap whilst other clubs have just cracked on making losses with next to no recourse, all at the insistence of people like Steve Gibson.

    Way I see things is…
We need closure on this whole possible points deduction which is hanging over us and we need it ASAP. Reason being IMO is…. Should this linger on to the end of the season with no agreement reached between DCFC and the EFL they will conjure up a points deduction of such a magnitude the impact we as a club suffer will be catastrophic.
I have a feeling should we somehow be 8 points clear of the drop by the end of the season (I feel the spitefulness of this whole witch hunt) will lead them to enforcing a 9 point deduction without any opportunity for appeal.
This is why I believe we should push these bar stewards hard to get a conclusion (to whatever points deduction if at all any) decision one way or another ASAP. Then and only then will we have a fighting chance of seeing this lot off and we can get back to being a football club instead of a punch bag. ???

Sky sports programme today was so anti Derby it was laughable , the two idiots on commentary were bad enough but Prutton was just ridiculous. I bet he sent a video to the corrupt EFL after the game to get Fozzy banned. He may have well of been wearing a Forest shirt . I just hope this EFL/Sky agenda creates a siege mentality spirit . Up the F...ing Rams !!! ????

Not sure how he can be overrated when so many voice their concerns about him.
Worth mentioning here, we've conceded 4 goals in the league so far this season, only Fulham and Birmingham have conceded less (3).
You could argue this is the defence, but Roos is part of the defence, hardly terrible. Pulled off some cracking saves to keep us in games already.

It amazes me why every other league club has a ticket office. It’s almost as if they are useful commercial vehicles for selling tickets.

I am glad Morris and Pearce have decided we don’t need all this extra revenue. I suppose FFP going forward is of no consequence to then.

Its the same principle as any other business surely, they make parting with your cash as easy as possible and let you feel as happy about it as they can.
Even basic shops.. don't have to provide baskets or have friendly staff willing to show you where things are or display prices clearly or have parking for you or clean the place or have a toilet...but it makes you more likely to shop there, so they do. Why give people a reason to go for another option? If you're buying a big item, a nice filtered coffee is a pittance compared to what you're buying but those touches are just basic sales techniques.
Recently DCFC seem to have the attitude of 'If you want to come, then you will'. Most fans just suck it up but fringe fans are drifting away already because of the myriad of other reasons, so I can't understand why we aren't going the opposite way and making buying tickets as easy, cheap and desirable as possible.

    We're Derby County
    We threw it away.
Strange how a couple of seasons ago I used to get all manner of rollickings because of my dissatisfaction with the match officials, and I did tone it down a bit. But now I hardly need to say a word, because people have started to cotton on to what the officials get up to. And for the last couple of seasons we have been so poor that the ref's decisions have been irrelevant.
Today, however, we are the architects of our own downfall. Forest were really, really poor and were there for the taking, and but for a few better decisions with the final ball - Lawrence not putting Joswiack through on goal being a major one - we would have been out of sight by half time. But second half only Forest came back out of the changing rooms. We were lackadaisical and sloppy and half-arsed for quite a way into the second half. Yes Hughton did make a couple of changes, cutting of the supply lines through the first two phases, and pressing our back line to make them play back to Roos. Yes his distribution wasn't good today, but mot of the time he was put under huge pressure by the awful back passes. And Rooney singularly failed to change things. We kept getting pressed and closed down like this last season, and eventually learned to stop faffing about at the back. And again it wasn't working today, but we kept on insisting on doing it until late on in the game. If it doesn't work, try something else, for goodness sake. So having shown what a rabble Forest are, we let them improve to the point of looking like a poor team.
But if the match officials had done their job things would have turned out differently. I have watched the Sky highlights, and Fozzy does get his foot onto the Forest player's wedding tackle, but no way was that intentional. Apart from the fact that Fozzy isn't nasty enough to even swat a fly, he wasn't even looking, so no way did he deliberately place his foot there. Apparently Sky were blathering on about it for ages afterwards. And despite showing the Worrall handball in the highlights, they didn't give it much attention. It was blatantly clear that he knew exactly what he was doing, and there were two Derby players in line to receive the ball. Definite red card. Definite penalty. But they didn't show the blatant foul on Sibley when he would have through on goal in the first half. Yet again, a definite red card. Neither did they show the all-in-wrestling move on Davies towards the end of the second half. That it happened while the ball wasn't moving doesn't matter as it is serious foul play in the penalty area, and the corner had actually been taken by the time that Davies hit the floor.
In the end, we threw the points away because of our dozy lack of effort in the second half, but most definitely the ref cost us two points today. WITHOUT A DOUBT. And no, I don't normally shout! In addition, he couldn't wait to yellow card Derby players, some of which technically being fully deserved, yet he failed to card Forest players for repeat offences throughout the match. And what was Joswaick booked for when he was the one who had been wrestled to the ground? That was almost as bad as giving Middlesborough a free-kick when one of their players brought his team mate down last week. It is easy to understand people thinking that there are special EFL directives on how to officiate at Derby County matches.
The positives are the way Derby are playing now. At the end of last season, and with all the off-pitch problems, I thought we would be playing even worse than we were then, so our play at the moment is a revelation. After such a poor performance a few matches ago, Joswiack has really improved, and Max Bird has become the Max Bird we all knew and loved.
Keep it going, you Rams. It has become a pleasure to watch you again, instead of just supporting you regardless. Thank you!

For saying that we've just conceded our first goal in 3 games in the league, and only 4 goals in 5 games so far, there seems to be allot of posters complaining about our game management.
We were certainly 2nd best for large parts of the 2nd half, and our playing out from the back unsuccessfully at times invited pressure rather than relieved it , but Roos only had two testing saves to make and Forest created little else.
Again the missing factor was that 2nd goal. We passed up some good openings with bad decision making, but Samba was the busier keeper and Stretton desperately unlucky not to seal the win before they equalised.
A better team than Forest might have made us pay for losing our way a bit, but I came away from the game feeling disappointed rather than relieved. I still think we're making positive progress.

I’m surprised at the number of posts in the match thread that seem a bit down. Totally get it was only a draw against our local rivals, mediocre rivals at that. First half though we pretty much bossed it and were far more inventive and creative. Had we got the rub with a better ref, a penalty given or had Stretton just connected sweeter from the brilliance of Sibley, we would have comfortably won; because no way would that poor Forest team have scored twice.
We don’t seem comfortable one in front at the minute, always seems a ricket lurking. Yet under the circumstances of everything of the pitch, the glimpses we are seeing from the nucleus of this team is very encouraging. Rooney is slowly evolving this team into a decent one. He’s honest in his assessments and to give him more credit appreciates the backing the fans are giving right now.
As much as not winning is a bit deflating, there’s a fair few reasons for optimism in this team under Rooney; he’s slowly winning me back over.

Saw it in real-time directly in front of me in the north stand and have since on video.......no way is it a red card two things to consider the ref is looking straight at it so is the linesman no reaction from either ...secondly the player and no other of his team mates protested at the time or when next the ball went dead.
