    Wow.  Time just flies!
I recall getting the news on my laptop on a not particularly busy afternoon at work.
Being local (Ascot Drive), it was easy for me to pick up some flowers and drop them off at the stadium on my way home.  It would have been around 3-3:30 that afternoon(?), so wasn't surprised to see I was one of the first to do so.  Perhaps a dozen bouquets and a couple of scarves around the base of the flagpoles in front of the main entrance.  (The club flag now at half-mast, of course)  All rather serene.  No more than a dozen folk milling around.  No obvious press/TV crews.
Come the next home game, and a deliberate diversion from my SE corner arrival point to go see the latest tributes, I recall being taken aback by the mountain of tributes, the amount of people paying their respects, the press photographers, and the whole emotional atmosphere.  And of course, I was aware that similar respects were being paid elsewhere.
We all have our opinions on the man, but it's clear there was... and remains... a mountain of respect for his achievements.

No coins policy would have suited my old father in law (RIP last year at ripe old age of 96). He never liked carrying money to the pub beforehand!!!

I would presume, if they can legally search for and confiscate coins, that they could search anything and everything where coins may be found. That might not include bodily orifices but I wouldn't take the risk 🙂

I am genuinely sorry you're not enjoying it. We are ST holders who travel and know how you feel after one of those games. It is a massive commitment of time and money. Very diff to a quick stroll or drive to the ground. But I think since admin I'm still so happy we have a club and its been an outlet over a tough 3 years in our family that I am lucky enough to enjoy it at the mo. Do you travel/sit alone or with friends/family?
You are correct about many pro-footballers. But I think we generally have a decent bunch under PW - met many after Camb away last season and they were very approachable.
I hope you do start to enjoy it more as the season progresses

Nor seen the whole 90 minutes of the two away games but the three home games have been great, moments of real skill, top defending and goalkeeping coupled with a fantastic team spirit and work rate.
The new players seem to have gelled quickly and give the impression they are enjoying life in Derbados.
The fans have been brilliant as well.
Following an emotional rollercoaster of a promotion season i'm more than happy with the way we are playing so far.
To further enhance one's enjoyment of the matchday experience I strongly suggest we all take time out to learn the words to the ABBA song about Jacob Zetterstrom currently being touted on twatterX. I believe we will be giving this large as the season progresses.
Its early days but he looks like a Poom in the making.

I can really relate to @Jayram.
I have never booed the team, and felt that being Warne out was pointless given how invested DC is in him.
That meant that for the longest time last season I felt like someone sat on the outside looking in on a promotion season that achieved some pretty impressive stats.
What has changed for me is the commitment this season to genuinely progressive exciting football. Honestly I didn’t think we’d see it under Warne. I was wrong.
And I don’t expect the approach to be utilised 100% all the time. There’s a world of difference between saying to Cardiff, ‘go on break us down’ with 15 minutes to go and s***housing Fleetwood Town for 90 minutes. I’m down with the former but struggled with the latter.
So for me, stick in there @Jayram, you’re one performance or match away (hopefully) from feeling differently and you won’t know until you know. We’re all Derby right? Keep the faith.

I have to say I’m really pleased for Daj. This wouldn’t have happened if Warne didn’t see real potential and unlike the MM era we aren’t  handing contracts out like confetti. Welcome to the Championship DB!

Currently staying Beverley Park in Paignton Devon for a few days and the lad that came to repair the microwave in our caravan is a Ram.  He was telling me his father travels up to each game as he is a season ticket holder.  That's dedication

Ah, the eternal argument between style and results.
I think ultimately for me, results are the bread and butter, then the style is the filling. People can argue about whether ham and cheese is best, or egg mayo, but that's a matter of taste.
I think you have to take into account where we are in our 'lifecycle' right now. We can't really afford to be picky as it is. It's all well and good wanting the Wiltshire cured ham with multi-seeded bread from the top tier, but we don't have the cash, have to be pragmatic and settle for the normal wafer thin ham.
Damn. I've made myself hungry now. Did I take the sandwich analogy too far?

Bit surprised at your post Jayram, i would of totally agreed with you last year, (had to check this wasnt last years post) i thought the football was shocking and was debating renewing my ST. But luckily i have and have thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 home games. My expectations have lowered considerably and will be happy if were not floating with relegation all year. When you consider the amount of new players we brought in this summer i think they have gelled remarkably well. Well done to Warne and the scouting team. Yes Middlesbro at home we rode our luck, but defended as a team very well. On to Bristol, the first 20 mins we looked decidedly second best, then when our confidence grew i thought we played really well and it could of ended up 5 or 6 nil. Cardiff on Saturday i was expecting an hangover from the Bristol game, yes we wernt great but always looked dangerous on the break and deserved the win.
For me we have performed so far, a lot better than i expected, Kenzo is a breath of fresh air and the others around him have all looked good. Onwards and upwards for me. Would like to know what your expectations were/are for this season?

When was that? The days when players were injected every week to get them through games, only to be crippled with arthritis by their 50s?
Some people said last season that players would be breaking down 2/3 through the season because of Warne's training regime. What actually happened was we were the fittest team in the division going into the final 15 games of the season.
It's not as if we have an extensive injury list ATM.

Each to their own. I drove from Northumberland to watch the game, thoroughly enjoyed watching the team ( my team) fight for 97 minutes to win the match, “sprung” off my seat when Kenzo scored and felt total connection with both management and players.

I don’t dispute that we’re both Rams fans. I have been for nearly 60 years. I fully appreciate what David Clowes has done to keep the Club alive. I think Paul Warne has done an excellent job in very difficult circumstances.

Happily, I have realistic expectations so am unlikely to be disappointed whatever happens next. I might even be pleasantly surprised as some of our new players appear to be a great improvement on last season.

I think it’s a shame that you can’t enjoy what’s happening. That’s your right. I might not quite understand it but I’m sure neither of us cares how the other one feels😎

I've browsed the forums & hashtags of Boro, Bristol, & Cardiff, and they're all similarly negative about the way there team played after we'd wiped the floor with them.  Which is understandable because they've lost, and fans will always call out something when it doesn't work, and achieve the desired outcome.  But to call out styles of play, when it is getting the result is a little odd in my opinion.
We don't play anything like Pulis' Stoke.  Yeah Cashin is going long into the channels a little more, but when you have a left peg like his, why wouldn't you use it to your advantage.  What kind of football would you like to see us play?  Cardiff played some lovely stuff up our final 3rd, then didn't do a single thing with it.  They only threatened when they started lumping it into the box, which thanks to Warne switching to a back 3, played right into our hands.  Same goes for the other 2 home game.  It's not gymnastics, you don't get points for style.
I think the fact you don't feel a connection with this bunch of honest pros, and hungry youngsters says more about you than it does the team.  Would you prefer going back to the good ol' days of Smiler Butterfield or Blackman stealing an inflated wage for very little output?  Or supposed senior pros letting youngsters get smashed out their face of Jeagars and trying to drive home?

One thing both my lad and me said on Saturday was how good it was to see a variation on corners and free kicks round the box, so used to seeing the same routines but we had a great mixture of short and long corners and even a sharp free kick passed along the side of the penalty area to NML to change the delivery angle on a free kick outside the box.  I think the coaches are learning quickly about mixing things up and using the element of surprise.  Jacksons goal against Bristol was a throw in routine straight off the training ground I'm sure.  Might never work again now it's been done so we look for something else.

Very sad news, unfortunately it seems a lot of us have a similar story about someone we love and highlights the need for donations/charities.
I had just met my now wife, who within two months of knowing each other had a very rare form of bone cancer, Ewing’s Sarcoma. The first two/three years of our relationship were dedicated to getting through that journey and we were very lucky but a lot of people on the same ward were unfortunately not. We have actually been together 15 years today.

I've been looking forward to watching a highlights reel like this. He looks like he's 2 steps ahead of just about everyone (including our players!)
He plays a lovely ball inside their left fullback (and through 3 players) that if our speed merchants out wide start gambling on I can see being very fruitful. Our winger seemed like he didn't expect the pass.
It'll take time for everyone to properly switch on to his wavelength by but when they do I think we'll get to enjoy some lovely attacking play.
He also looks pretty decent at winning the ball higher up the pitch which will be invaluable.
Passing short or long, dribbling, vision, positioning, bight in a challenge and seemingly a decent lad.
I think we should be very excited to have him at our club!
