JJs dms reacted to Brammie Steve in Conor Washington - signed on a two-year-deal
How about the F****t manager’s gleeful comment in 1967….
”We’ve just sold Alan Hinton to Clough at Derby for 30 grand!”

JJs dms reacted to Grimbeard in Fixtures out June 22nd
If this was your first game, then I'm surprised that you ever wanted to watch another. This remains the most tedious game that I've ever witnessed.
We were already champions and they were already relegated. It was a hot day and all 22 players had downed tools for the season. Absolutely nothing happed for 90 minutes.

I have a vague recollection that my very, very, very first attendance was for Derby v Carlisle for the season finale.
Be nice to see it end the same way... 0-0... and one of these...

JJs dms reacted to Mucker1884 in The Home Kit Colour Debate
I was brought up on white/blue/red numbers.
I was gutted when we changed to black shorts. It took eons to get over it... but get over it I did! 🦾
As romantic as those blue shorts were, I couldn't face another change of colour scheme so soon after the last one! (👀)
I just have to vote for "No More Change".
Socks? Meh... not so fussed, mesen. Preferably not holey, though! 👀

JJs dms reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Callum Elder - joined on a 3 year deal
Bar an ageing Dorigos 15 game cameo they've all been absolute dross. Giving Jones the benefit as he had a lot going on and probably wasn't the wisest loan signing. Know nothing about this guy but lets hope he's better than the others.

JJs dms reacted to SK47 in Jason Knight - joined Bristol City
I know it's likely we'll lose him but I'd genuinely be sad to see him go. I'd rather lose Sibs than Knighty. He's 1 of the only players that you know week in and week out will put in a shift and give us an option pretty much everywhere on the pitch. He might not score as many goals or have the tricks of some, but he does all that dirty work to allow the technical players to work their magic.
He will be a big loss imo. But I guess my sentiment is down to him being 1 of a few here that deserve to see good times with us after all the drama of the last couple years. Proper good kid and an absolute credit to himself, his family, us as a club and what we stand for.
If he does go, he will be a great model employee for any football club. Never complains, just does what he's told for the team, and always does it 100%.

JJs dms reacted to Joe in Derby Greatest/Classic Matches
Derby's 4 goals against against Newcastle are the best four in a game you will see. The 4th is my favourite goal of all time for Derby

I've always renewed the week of the deadline and I suspect most people do. I'd be suprised if there is any drop off in support this season

JJs dms reacted to IlsonDerby in Ruben Rodrigues - Joined Oxford United
He’s just saying he supports Oxford. I know from his kids at school that he’s actually a massive Cambridge fan.

People need to chill out, same with people worrying no transfers yet even though the window hasn’t opened yet. I am sure by the start of the season we will reach last season’s figures

Trevor Christie did and I've a feeling he played for Leicester and Mansfield to. Played a major role in getting us out of this league the last time we were in it I'll never forget the hat trick at Swansea that kept us in with a chance of going up . I'm not sure there wasn't another around that era (Gray?) though I think he was only on loan for us.

It was flogging Oakley and Jones that told me he didn't have the foggiest. Oakley had probably been out best player and had proven Prem quality, and Jones could be frustrating but had a real touch of class about him. We spent the cash on a headless chicken who the fans openly (and rightly) despised. Clueless.

Chelsea at home as well. Robbed in that one.
By the time of Jewells double training sessions and stellar January of flogging two midfielders who kept us competitive but losing by the odd goal and replacing them with players last had a good game in the 90's, it was appalling.

JJs dms reacted to Carl Sagan in Worse Derby Managers
Docherty destroyed the best club in the country. No one else can come close.
I felt sorry for Gregory as he jumped ship from Villa to come to us IIRC. Then it didn't work out.
Billy Davies started out with a good team that took us to the top of the league, miles ahead, but then he dumped most of them to bring in his mates, meaning we went into the Prem with a team that would have struggled to stay up in the Championship. Horrible man.
Lampard somehow failed to get us promoted with Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori in the team, aided and abetted with the likes of Harry Wilson, Jayden Bogle, Craig Bryson, Tom Lawrence and a fit Keogh and younger Davies to choose from. That's quite some achievement. In hindsight perhaps his managerial abilities were already becoming clear?

Sorry Archie but Brown was a disaster can you remember 3-1 defeat to Colchester in the FA Cup after the match Radio Derby interviewed him and a number of fans told him to f*** Off out the club on the Monday he was sacked. Clement's football was boring football.

JJs dms reacted to Mick Harford in Best Individual Derby Performance You’ve Ever Seen
The one people talk of was the video, I was at the other game and Shilts' wasn't as impressive.
People oft forget Shiltons games though, end of the season we finished 5th Shilton came 5th in the ballon d'or , and this when English clubs did not play in Europe

I would vote George Thorne every time he played in his first season with us. If he’d been born with knee joints he could have been the England captain.
I think I’m going to go away and cry now. 😢

Can't believe it's only a year off 30 since that old lady threw a brick through our coach window almost decapitating me. Them were the days.

Although I was absolutely ecstatic over beating Leeds, however, for clear class the play-off 2nd leg semi-final against Brighton was pure joy to watch, from a team that should have just murdered QPR in the final.
That poxy, last minute goal was heart breaking.

JJs dms reacted to JustOneBiblicalKazim in Club Captain next season?
Don’t buy that Bird isn’t a good captain. Unless my maths is wrong he captained the side for 17 of the 19 game unbeaten streak, the only games he wasn’t captain for during that period was the final 2 games of that run when Davies came back in because of Cashin’s injury, was even people calling him ‘captain fantastic’ after the goal at Cheltenham. So Bird would be my pick, though I can see the merit behind Forsyth as club captain with Bird carrying on as vice captain.
