Watching this unfold in the Telegraph in town with loads of other Derby fans...we thought that the Pope had been chosen.

My take on B4 as a poster, He is NEVER WRONG, If we pointed out his mistakes he'd come back with an answer, Not the right answer but an answer, We'd correct him, But No...he aint having it still more answers, It got to the stage where me/some would just give in, His enthusiasm was infectious, His positivity was overpowering, His loyalty was honourable, He never got upset with posters...he is one of a kind.
Scraves, Flanges, The food down his shirts, The pain in his foot, Losing his job at the Cinema...he just kept going, Even someone like me felt an affection for him...God bless him 😉

I've always been an advocate of the Geoff Boycott approach to the toss.
Win toss, carefully consider the weather, the prevailing conditions, the forecast, the history of the fixture, both teams' respective strengths - and then bat.

It was nice being a big fish in a small pond for a bit, but lets be honest League One is absolutely honking and the idea that Derby should have been happy to take it slow and rebuild down there was nonsense. I am delighted that we got out relatively quickly given the circumstances that saw us down there, let's never go back again.

The smaller clubs will certainly miss the full away ends that us, Pompey and, potentially, Bolton, provided. For their sakes, I hope that a team with a large away following like Birmingham gets relegated, although TBH no-one deserves a visit from that bunch of dickwads.

My thoughts are that it feels like proper football. I’m becoming increasingly alienated by modern, elite football. I watch it less and less now, and when I do watch it, the enjoyment is sucked out by the way it’s organised and run.
There’s real supporters who support less glamorous clubs because they love them. Not because they win anything or because it’s a tourist attraction. 1700 fans travelled from little Carlisle, just to watch their team that were relegated weeks ago. That’s proper football.
There’s obviously far less money, the facilities are nowhere near as good, the players can’t quite play the same kind of football, but it’s strangely enjoyable.
From scoring two in added time at Port Vale, to Wilson’s header against Bolton, to watching Collins’ penalty at Forest Green from a grass verge outside the ground because the one single turnstile wasn’t working quick enough, it’s been great.
Although saying that, I’m hoping we don’t have to return any time soon!

After watching Hull Vs Ipswich on Friday night...my thoughts about us being in the Championship took a nasty vibe...they are both way ahead of us...but...PW will be aware of this and knows what bar needs to be set.
This squad...imo would struggle in the Championship...even relegation fodder, There's going to be a a big turnaround...10/11 players coming in at least.
There's not a chance of us doing an Ipswich, But a midish finish and we'll know that there's a work in progress.

Hoping you are right and I’m wrong. There would be something poetic in Forest going down due to their points deduction, and the icing on the cake would be a Burnley winner on the last day from a VAR given penalty. 

The fact that when he brought in Cocu he spoke of reading a study that said he (Cocu) had promoted more youngsters to the first team than any other manager in the top 5 European divisions. The study?  A sidebar on Cocu’s placement in FourFourTwo’s top 50 managers of the year…

Love this.  The guy owns the friggin building, can do whatever takes his fancy, but still shows the humility to think he might be disturbing the work force if he was to pop in…
